Had a great night, I'm so glad that I went. Been meaning to see Steve Gibbons for years and I was not disappointed. Also at a really good venue, The Square & Compass in Ilminster, Somerset it's small, you can see the band, intimate and comfortable, no squashing everyone in.

Remember watching them live at the BH …….seem to remember Alex Harvey turning up (very late) there once as well.

I remember this at the Bridgehouse CT around 1976/77?. Had my first pint in there! Loved this song still do and everybody’s gotta have a hero.Pub rock at the Three Rabbitts as well The Brecknock Camden and the Pub at Fulham Palace Road can’t remember the name. Also saw Iron Maiden there before they were famous with all their faces painted?
Yep, the track was recorded on the album, 'Live At The Bridge House' and I likewise had many a good nights at The Bridge House, Canning Town (for those who don't know where that was) and saw the band play there...

Reminds me of The Bridge House 1977ish. They were called 'Splits' I think and they had a poll in the pub where the punters chose the name 'Roll Ups'. VERY funny song 'live'... nice Ice-breaker got everyone buzzing. I liked a slower one 'Jenny' too. Great band.... great time in my life.
fantastic song, very rocky and funny performance, featuring Barry Hart on Guitar and Vocals, Paul Airey (me and Don's bruv) on Piano, Jeff Peters on bass, and can't remember the drummer's name (Ricky?)

The vocalist was LEA Hart, wasn't it? As a 16-year old I used to go the Bridge House to catch bands including SALT (with Little Stevie Smith), Remus Down Boulevard and Gerry McAvoy Jam to name just a very few! Great days and I clearly remember Paul Jones of The Blues Band singing 'Death Letter', not realizing one of the Murphy family (owners of the pub) had died the day before........
