#BiggerThanKarate: The Legacy of Ustaad Bhai Charnjit Singh Ji
Ustaad Bhai Charnjit Singh Ji, who began learning Gatka at the age of 14, his skills became unmatched. In 2002, he became the Ustaad of Gurdarshan Parkash, Damdami Taksal, Mehta under the guidance of Sachkhand Vasi Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji Khalsa Bhinderanwale.
Ustaad Bhai Charnjit Singh Ji went on a tour to preach the Sikh Martial Arts internationally. He began in Toronto at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton where he helped Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akharaa Damdami Taksal (Toronto) grow.
Ustaad Ji was then called upon to do sewa in Surrey B.C. to teach the kids at Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akharaa Damdami Taksal (Surrey) at Guru Nanak Academy.
Ustaad Bhai Charnjit Singh Ji returned to Sachkhand on May 7th 2004.
This documentary showcases the lives that Ustaad Ji has touched and affected. Over the last 2 decades, his teachings have been passed down student after student.

This was well done. It was nostalgic. I remember listening to Bhai Parminder Singh Ji Katha in English at Dasmesh Darbar. Had no idea the impact Bhai Charnjit Singh ji had. I also can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since this happen.

Amazed hearing about Gursikh Jeevans like these. Thank you for sharing. I know here in Edmonton the youth has connected even deeper with the akhara after watching this documentary and hearing the legacy of these Gurmukh pyaray. Forever grateful.

very interesting. Sadly I only understand German and English. The fight scenes are impressive but obviously show only a fraction of what the art is about. I wouldn't say "better" than Karate, but equivalent - if you practise Karate as it should be practised. So sad, that your sensei (your teacher, your master) passed away. Thank you for letting me learn about this.
