the step through method... very good and personally it's the method i use but there is a warning that we should be aware of before practicing it, that being that it is possibly the easiest way to damage the bow by twisting the limbs whilst stringing! it is also just as easily overcome! place the seeyah against the thigh instead of the shin and the handle lower down, again on the thigh rather than higher up or closer to the hip. by doing it that way the bow is kept in better alignment before being put under tension thereby avoiding placing any twist into the limbs and possibly damaging the bow. on very short bows it is far easier to do on the thighs than it is with a longer bow but not impossible with any length of "horsebow". the heavier the draw weight the easier it is to break the bow stringing between the shin and the hip. as always the way to go is to practice the technique on a lightweight bow, maybe as light as under twenty pounds draw weight.

A 50lb bow doesn't sound very strong to me. I can easily draw a 75lb long bow and Medieval war bows, as found on the Mary Rose, were over 200lb.

I got a recommendation for stringing. Take a knee. Put the lower limb on the top of your thigh, as close to your hip as possible. You pass your other leg through supporting the center of the belly like normal. It might help with the leverage 😊. Cool bow bud. Nice shooting

Mediterranean draw off the thumb side is a dumb idea. You have no way to control the arrow so you’re unable to cant the bow, and even clean releases have a chance of sending the arrow way off to the side because your fingers are going in the same direction the arrow is on the side of. If it’s on the other side of the handle these two cancel out with the archers paradox. It might work sometimes, but it has an inherent danger that isn’t present with the arrow on the other side or using a draw technique meant for the arrow being shot off the thumb
