Hello and thank you so much for making these tutorials! I am trying to do my first frankenskirt but I have run into a problem 🤔. I have deconstructed both of my sari wrap skirts but my buttonholes (there are three buttonholes on each belt) are all sewn through the two side folds of the belt (both the long and short folds) so the belt can’t open up all the way. How do I fix that? Do I trim those folds around the buttonholes like I did to remove the skirt layers or will that make them unusable? Otherwise I don’t know how to sew all of the layers back together.

I just tied this design with a goddess sized darn good yarn sari skirt. I'm a petite 5'. Its a lot of fabric but ends up being an ankle length halter dress.

A tailoring trick to get skirt to lay flat while you are seeing is to press your skirt and belt as you sew. It adds time but makes your finished project look like it is brand new and done by a pro.

I too had extra width issues with a small waist. But, the excess with how you did made it look gorgeous.

Ties can make a belt for you at the end. Knot them at the side temporarily and wrap them around at the end on top.

As a suggestion, put your hair in a ponytail so we can see better instead of having to adjust it throughout the video.

This way of folding it is all over pinterest... It's how the sellers prepare the skirts for the pictures, but NO ONE will explain how it's done. Took me forever to find this video haha thank you so much!
