Charlie Chaplin had said that she was incredible. Quite an endorsement. In the film "La Strada" Ms. Masina (also Mrs. Federico Fellini) proves that opinion true. She was absolutely marvelous with her expressions & acting ability. Definitely one of the greatest actresses to grace the screen. Watching Giulietta Masina (I always called her Gelsomina -- from her role in La Strada with Anthony Quinn) & Anna Magnani -- is an acting class. There are no actresses today that come close to them. Yes, there are great actresses acting today no doubt -- but I'm talking about style, movement, expression, attitude, character & personality. I don't see it. That has to be created -- it's not on the screenwriter's page. Not like these two did. They took fictional characters & brought them to life. There's method acting and there's classical acting -- these ladies were classical. Natural. Intense without being over the top. Can't teach it. It must be observed, studied & used every day naturally until it becomes part of your own person. I loved them both. Never tire of watching them.
❤❤❤❤❤

It's all sinking in now 😞
Marcello was a marvelous actor. So many things are conveyed through facial expressions and movement. Watching his films, because I don't speak the language is similar to watching silent films. Marcello said everything with real acting.
nice one dude!
