This makes HN look way more fun! How come you decided to skip the Birthday arrangement and Gun Room Puzzle and instead got the red key by sacrificing captain salsa, but bothered to get the red gramaphone to stop the magnet machine? If we ignore that this a dream sequence, the neighbor spent all this time fortifying his house and making the basement more difficult, to enter just for you to go through and pull it off again after Acts 1 and 2.

The camera saw you at 3:04. Although its pretty debatable whether that counts or not. The camera room in Act 3 implies that these cameras do in fact allow the Neighbor to see you, but then again its possible that the Neighbor entirely relies on the beeping noise the camera makes, so he does not see you. Imagine being the Neighbor here, you see this kid taking a peep as you lock your son in the basement, get him off your property, and all of a sudden your windows shatter out of nowhere, and you don't see this kid again until he's in your basement, and then he proceeds to leave without you seeing him, this time the neighbor really can't know for sure if its you, for all we know he might've thought some other kids were climbing his fence and breaking in.

Pre-alpha man is the first one to ever try and find out what the neighbor was hiding in his basement, but unfortunately even despite his superior abilities, he wasn't as lucky as Nicky or Quentin.

Great job doing HN2 Alpha 1 without being seen! now since you said this is the last without being seen challenge until a new HN game gets released but have you considered doing HN: nicky's diaries without being seen (and also without using any powers/shop items) since it's a stealth game and it's technically possible to do it the main levels isn't too hard to beat however the basement levels are a little tricky to beat since they require more patience and good timing especially the last level is like really difficult but not completely impossible as far as i know while yes it is a mobile game but you can always use a emulator like bluestacks to play it on your pc or use your phone to record the game but eitherway i think it would be fun

Imagine being the neighbor and your basement seemingly unlocks itself bit by bit and you have no idea how

oh, how I wish this was the game we got... can you imagine a full, extended, more fleshed-out version of the beta? With The Guest stalking you at night, weather cycles, more puzzles, more story, a bigger open world, and probably just a more content and characters? It makes me sad to think about what could have been... Sure, we could get that in the future, but I can't help but wish this was how the development went down and this was the game we got on launch...

That's the neighbor's shadow, they just changed his head, the shadow jumps just like the neighbor, and the hands are a little separated, maybe it means the gloves he wears.

I've never got to the attic part but I think if you want to go higher while taking the planks off just hold shift and W. From what I remember You got great potential and I imagine someday you making a collab in the future with Video Game News in the new RBO or something Maybe you could send him an email Lol

Wow! For me this is the hardest one to beat without being seen Remember I said I wouldn't end the first full game because the train bugged and the items too I ended it after 4 years of playing because you motivated me to.

You know, both Hello Neighbor 1 and 2 give me the feeling that both of these games had their develement restarted over and over again until they ran into a road block and couldn't do anything else, so they just pushed out the now-unfinished freashly-restarted game, polished it up, then sent it out. It's so weird. This franchise is truly THE steath horror of all time. I love it, its so terrible, and I love it so much because of that, I just can't get enough of this garbage! 10/10 unfinished pre-release cutscene from the best game of 2017

you could've done it faster just by getting the radio, the crowbar and then put the radio on right there. Then rush into the neigbor's house (wait till you see him, if you don't, just go so you unlock the basement.) Also adapting to low FPS (like I have) is a great thing. I get jumpscared one I open the basement door sometimes

that's a lie though. if you ever saw speedruns of this game you'd know about several exploits they patched out, like the wire in the act 1 basement and the trampoline in act 2 now having an extra fence on the wall around it, as well as the bear trap glitch that let you clip through doors. they're clearly patching out tricks speedrunners find which are, in their own right, alternate solutions to the puzzles. why would they do that if the point of the game is to "exploit it to win"? the real explanation is that the puzzle has no intended solution, and that the developers are hacks who thought that making the puzzle impossible by design would make the game "deeper" and more interesting. nikita obviously knew this so when he livestreamed the game in front of a bunch of people (having forgotten that his game is impossible and that showing that fact off would lead to bad press) and came across the puzzle, his only two options were to either alt-f4, which would piss everyone off as they'd find out they're clowns and got ripped off, or to glitch the puzzle and make up a bullshit explanation to save face

idea: stealth challenge hard mode. try to do some of the stealth challenges with another restriction, something like HN 1 stealth challenge without going in a closet I now it's a bit dumb.
