A bit about my Land Rover. I'd been searching for a Series 3 Land Rover for about 9 months when she (her name is Lola by the way) came up for sale by a collector in Madrid. In all that time searching, I hadn't seen anything remotely as pristine as this one. The owner had purchased it from a gentleman who used it as a school bus for kids in rural areas in/near Córdoba where busses could not acce...

Hi, just for your information: This truck you've got here is NOT a British Land-Rover, but a Spanish Santana build replica. It therefore is not a coil spring Land-Rover 110 but it is a spring leaf Santana 109. Please make sure you will understand the difference between a Land-Rover and a Santana! Although the Spanish Santana version of the British Land-Rover started from exactly the same base: Santana build their own Spanish Land-Rovers under Licence of the British Land-Rover company, they grew very much apart during the years. And as of 1968, Santana was able to build their own version of the Land-Rover with increasingly fewer original Land-Rover parts than you can imagine. Eventually, it came to the point that Britsh Land-Rover Company forbid the Santana Company to use any longer the name of Land-Rover on the Santana trucks, although they looked very similar to those who did not know the difference... Your 1978 Santana will provide you many surprises when it comes to getting parts. You will find out that there is hardly any part of an original British Land-Rover that may fit your Spanish Santana. Just make sure you'll get Spanish Santana parts and you'll find no problems. By the way: I 'd always prefer a Spanish Santana over a British Land-Rover!
Just for your information, It clearly states in the title that this is a Santana and I also stated that it had its leaf springs replaced. Thanks for confirming what I had already written above.
Agreed, Santana's are better build. Also knock down kits where shipped Columbia and Santana's were build in Costa Rica as well. Very nice truck Sir!

The cost for the maritime insurance, transfer, shipping and delivery to my door was $5500. That included getting it through customs, the title transfer took just under a month, there were no hiccups at all.
