This game brings back so many memories. Turned 20 recently, played this when I was 10-11, damn, time flies... this was also my first MMORPG. Decided to give it another shot today to freshen up the childhood memories and it's kinda sad how they added a paywall to some locations that were free back then, like Jonah Town and the whole traitor's cave part. The max level back when I played was 50, all those years and they only added content worth just 20 extra levels.. I just hope this game doesn't die out.

It is a really hard dungeon, though I managed to solo it second try with my buccaneer at the time probably level 67. No scratch, but granted peter is pretty broken too. The difficulty of Valencia is something to admire and step up to and not to complain about :) nice solo!

I really wished the original story wasn't scrapped. It's because they had a whole story planned, that's why Valencia City exists. Why it's scrapped? KI fired some Pirate101 writers while the story was a work in progress just so they could focus on their mobile games. With only a few writers left, they decided to remake what they can to wrap up the story.

They didn't take any offense at it and actually had apologized to me for lagging the entire fight since they were experiencing delay on the game. I was quite nice to even count the run in as help request since I had to wait the countdown every single round. But, like I said there, I understood it wasn't their fault their connections weren't at best shape. Also only one of the people that did the run with me even is in the server, and I have them added. Believe me, they even thanked me for not giving up on the run.
