Tyndall knew, that heaven and earth may pass away, but Jesus's words would never pass away. His work illuminated untold numbers of people with truth and understanding. He dealt a blow to the man of sin who hated losing his tyrannical grip on the church.
What panel discussion did this come from?
💫AMEN!☝️💖👣💯
Im sorry no. As a Christian, we aren't meant to enforce Christianity on other people, especially in America. In America we have the 1st Amendment which grants a freedom of religion which means we can not force our religious beliefs and practices on those unwilling. We are supposed to show the love of God, yet we have many evangelicals spouting hate speech. Jesus said "go and sin no more." but he didn't force anyone to abide by that. All we should do as Christians are help and love people, showing the love of Jesus as he commanded us to, not harm marginalized people.
There is a simple way to draw ones own conclusion to this. First, have you ever and I mean EVER heard a Christian talk about Jesus being anything other than 'god made flesh' or the 'son of god'? No, right? I mean, Christianity is literally THIS. Well, if the Founding Fathers were - or even *some* of them were, they would have been pushing this EVERYWHERE, because that's what Christians do. So answer this: did they push this? Anywhere? No? Question answered.
This was great thank you.
Glad you found it helpful!
I would add Thomas Oden's three volume work as well. It examines theology from a trinitarian viewpoint, citing Patristic and Reformation writings to illustrate the concentric core of Christian theology in addition to being an excellent introduction to Patristic sources.
He is a great teacher I am studying with him presently .Bellamy
Glad to hear it is going well!
One thing to remember is that The Institutes of the Religion is that Calvin intended it as a companion to his Biblical exegesis.
I just listened to that last night on TH-cam. It puts me to sleep fast! I also own the movie.
Thanks for uploading this priceless history. Thankyou God for William Tyndale your servant .Every generation could read your word & know your love & forgiveness through Jesus.
So glad you found it to be an encouragement!
Before you respect these people, consider this; does God create people who cannot believe and then punishes them for not doing the thing He didn't create them to do? Imagine if someone took the arms off of an animal and then beat the animal for not walking correctly. If you're a Calvinist, thats the God you believe in. Not a loving God who gave Himself for you, but a monster who hates you but decides to save you to make Himself look good and then turns around and punishes your neighbor for not being chosen even though He's the one who does the choosing. Stop trying to prove your salvation and actually think about the image of God you've been taught. You can't find calvinism in the bible unless you've been told by someone that's what it teaches.
I can watch this a million times, thank God for these faithful friends
Such false teachings.
Amen
What was the reasons offered by the Roman Catholic church as the reason the Bible should not be interpreted into local languages? Was it to continue to advance the work of satan at their hand?
The opening statement failed to mention who executed Tyndale. Was is the state or the Catholic church?
I always love to listen to RC
Love these two men of God and how even in their differences they could honor God in their love for God's Word and the authority of Scripture and yet show us how to love one another in such a way that everyone would know they were disciples of God.
I have a difficult time with the “gentleness and respect” part. I calls it like i sees it
Jesus is NOT Real,..The best EVIDENCE for this is the uncovered ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum,. Two SEPERATE cities that were BURIED by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 AD. That would be 35+ yrs AFTER the supposed Death of Jesus. These are PERFECT TIME CAPSULES of what was happening in the Roman Empire. Not one shred of evidence in Both cities about Jesus whatsoever. Jesus is just construct of the Flavian Emperors who defeated the Jews in 70 AD and needed to create a Messiah that was foretold in the Old Testament to quell instigators. He's an accumulation af several different religions that go back to the ancient Sumerians but also include Assyrian, Egyptian, and Babylonian elements ect ect ect. None of the stories or happenings of Jesus are Original,. DO YOUR RESEARCH<<<<< Easter is an original holiday of the Assyrian God Ishtar and they also used EGGS as a symbol of rebirth. I get IT,.People WANT to believe in Jesus so much and have been indoctrinated as such but sadly it just ISN'T TRUE~
Hes a prick ! .. total depravity? Only a select class will be saved? … load of bullshit
Worship according to the New Covenant. Worship according to the New Covenant found in the New Testament. Worship according to the new covenant in the New Testament with music. Worship according to the new covenant in the New Testament with music of singing. Worship according to the new covenant in the New Testament with music of singing using the instrument of the heart of man. That's worshiping in spirit (heart) and truth (thy word is truth). Singing is a kind of music and even has it's own word that literally means "in the manner of the church"... Acapella. I'm not sure how the Holy Spirit could be more specific or clear as to what is desired. I seriously doubt that if someone ordered a case of 48 bottled waters at their online grocery store, when they went to pick it up that it would be ok that if the attendants would bring out every liquid drink you previously had in your history or expect them to do so handing you a bill nearly $300 and that one would accept it. It would be rejected understandable and rightly so. We live by language and expected principals of authority every day and put it into practice. We should apply this to God's will as well. It's what he said to do we can unify together on, but what he doesn't say to do in what we offer up to him in worship...we divide the body of Christ.
TRINITARIAN ✝️ Pentecostals and unitarians can't stand John MacArthur! I suppose if my hermeneutics and my reformed / systemic theology were weak, flamboyant and Twisted, I'd hate the man too! 🫵😂
Amen 🙏
The title should have been: A dozen theology books every REFORMED BAPTIST should read.
If you’re not a Reformed Baptist, why not read these books anyway? Is it a bad thing to read books from an opposing viewpoint?
There is a great deal of variation in what is considered 'Christian'. I will first and foremost need to know which verson of the Bible is cannon to this book list.
The catholic church murdered a martyr of Jesus Christ.
The books are all by reformed teachers or preachers if I understand correctly, right?
Thank you, two of my favorite authors, McDowell and Martin. They both helped me in my youth
They all tried, they all perished, and still GOD’s Holy Word still stands in 2025 Thank you William Tyndale Thank you!
I thank God that our young generation gets to hear such real teachers , Dr John is a blessing to my life.. His influence is heartfelt here home in Uganda...🙏🙏🙏❤
John MacArthur IS America's pastor!!!!
Amen.
It’s most likely the CATHOLIC church ⛪️ insisted that POWER comes from the SON instead of the father so they could retain divine authority through PETER… 🦁 ALERT
The Roman Catholic church did not exist yet at the time of the Council of Nicea.
The only hope we have is in Jesus. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for he alone saves us, forgives us of all of our sins, and promises to give us a new eternal life in him. “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
Very encouraging message.Thank you😊
Thanks!
Good video presentation. " Many are the afflictions...
Great brief narration
STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE PREACHERS IS JOHN MACARTHUR
Your evidence is the bible itself
The very same book that the contents are i. questioned
..... A man that knows one book knows none
... This guy is definitely a government agent 💯
What day do they celebrate each other's birthday? December 25th
Why do they give how much to Jesus the same time as they give how much is to the other mythological gods?
Amen and AMEN!
This was the most white washed version John Calvins life I've ever heard. No mention of the children Calvin had executed, or the people he had flogged for minor infractions, of the lies he told in order to convict a man of opposing him (when they searched his house for a "crime" which JC himself admitted there was no evidence found but which he had tortured and executed anyways), or of the deceit he showed to Servetus (even though he did have terrible theology), or of the staying on the Catholic payroll and copying their violent ways. Even if his theoloy would have been Biblical, John Calvin was a wicked, unregenerate man.
While I have some qualms with his eschatology, sometimes linking unconnected passages (his linking of Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5 to the sin that leads to death in 1 John 5 comes to mind), and his treatment of mental illness, the man is still a wonderful preacher and teacher. Praise the Lord for blessing and equipping his servants so richly and thoroughly.
You know if you just had evidence that demands a verdict there's enough apologetics in historical proof in that book alone I mean simply just keep it on your desk just as a companion to your Bible it's a great book
Too bad he didn't stay on a true path. He's lost now to Hollywood deception and hypocrisy. He sold himself. Hope he repents.
Thankyou very much! God blesses you well.
