    I really appreciate how you seem to have your own approach to the GMC Motorhome. I love the outside the box thinking.

    I like your GMC. Did you get the paint job on it or did you buy it painted aleady. Also here is what you should do with the heat from the headers. Take them back off and take them to your local good Chrome shop that can ceramic coat header. Or sell them and get yourself a pair that are ceramic coated already from the factory. I bought a set of shorty headers for my 1988 Ford Bronco. And the place I bought them from actually plates them for the co. that makes them. He told me that he could ceramic coat them on the inside & outside for me. You wouldnt believe the difference in the heat. You can actually touch them and not get burned while the engine is runnung.

      I bought it like this, it photographs well but it is an order repaint, was going to either wrap the headers or get them coated

    I'm Curious how well this fan assembly works in the summer heat. Have you driven it with this mod already?

      Hi sorry for the late reply, I am not super good with this stuff, it's a lunati voodoo, smallest one listed, 549 lift 112 lsa can't remember the duration but it's on the conservative side

    Roller camshafts really are the way to go, much better lobe profiles and no worry about break in woes.

  • @LionWithTheLamb
    @LionWithTheLamb ปีที่แล้ว

    Electric is better in stop and go traffic, also it allows you to gain fuel mileage as it's not eating power to run the fans.

    Hello, I have a suggestion. If you're recording for a short then do the vertical recording. If you are recording any other video recording horizontally is much better. It's a lot easier to see what you are doing as well if it's horizontal. Good Luck on the 455.

    Super disappointed that you didn't video how you got it out of the door and into the garage. I assume it was a pita.

    • @gmcchronicles3208
      @gmcchronicles3208 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was all hands on deck, I just do the video with my phone, just cherry picked it out the door, onto a furniture dolly and rolled it into the garage, but it's down hill on grass, then up hill to the garage

    Installing those fuel surge tanks right up front always makes me nervous. In case of an accident, the tank and its lines are the first thing to get hit creating a fuel spill... or worse! As far as vapour lock, when was the last time the fuel lines above the tanks were replaced? They crack and let air into the lines. Also the tank selector value can go faulty causing similar issues. I replaced my tank selector valve with 2 pumps. Now I have redundancy with the pumps.

    • @gmcchronicles3208
      @gmcchronicles3208 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am in automotive recycling I have worked with thousands of wrecks, , that very solid aluminum tank will move, and lines as well, would take quite a hit for it to become an issue

      So what fuel pump is that and the 100 micron filter? I'm looking to do the same. Delete the mechanical fuel pump and replace with electric. How's that Sorento fan doing? Could I use it as a pusher on the front of the radiator in conjunction with the existing pulley and clutch fan that comes on it? Thanks for any advice. 😊

    Beautiful looking GMC Motorhome. This is my idea of what a motorhome should be. It's not shaped like a brick on wheels, it's not massive, like most class A motorhomes today. It's the right size for most RVers, whether you're a newbie RVer or a veteran, or anywhere in between. 🙂

    At first I thought that hole was where the hoses attach to the heater core but I realized they were on the other side. I've been working on getting mine going for about 3 years. It is almost ready for the road! I mention the heater core because mine gave out last summer and started leaking coolant. I am glad it happened in my drive and not on the road. So I no longer have a front heater or air conditioner. My plan is to eventually put in an updated under-dash heater/air conditioning combo. I digress... thanks for posting.

      @@gmcchronicles3208 Good luck with that I did mine last January, twice because I didn’t change the oil lines and my oil cooler. Small fragments destroy the motor after 300 miles. I recommend you buy new lines and an external oil cooler with a fan so you don’t suffer the same consequence. I had the oil cooler on my radiator professionally flushed , didn’t work out too good

      @@gmcchronicles3208 It would be wise to order a new oil cooler and hoses from Summit auto parts or somewhere like that. Our engines were car engines and are pulling an extreme amount of weight.
