Never ever go to this hotel. The hotel rooms are actually very classy and spacious. Nevertheless the staff is not hospitable at all. We went to a high tea there and they kept us waiting for more than 1 hr for the high tea to be prepared. Their excuse was that we added 1 x person extra by calling them before coming for the high tea which did not happen so. We informed them very well in advance. By that time I had already reserved a room at the hotel which I did not cancel after the incident. And when I went to the hotel for our stay with my wife we realized that the staff does not at all take care of you. They are the rudest staff that I had ever seen in a Sri Lankan hotel. From room boy to the highest appointment of the staff, they never care locals at all but just the tourists. They act as if we stay at their hotel for free. Waiters do not show up at the buffet if we want some assistance. And there was this man called ‘Harsha’ who was a manager there (whom we called to get the high tea arranged), he never showed up even though we wanted to complain about the terrible high tea which took more than 1 hr to be prepared. We called one of the staff there and told him that we were so disappointed about the standard of this 5 star hotel and needed to talk to Harsha. But Harsha never came. After one week we stayed at the hotel as I said before, and there was a man without his name tag and I enquired from one of the waiters and got to know that he was that so called Harsha. This is the pathetic situation of this hotel. Go to this hotel if you want to get ostracized and get the feeling that they treat you as if you stay there on their money.

My family went there on 31st December. Not satisfied. Food variety was limited. Cutlets were not crispy. Staff was not friendly, not cortious. We (3 persons) were given small stool in a room inside restaurant. Waiters didn't took our empty plates. Will never visit Not worth Rs 3600.
