Hey Darren Randy Carroll here we met in back of the bait shop in Hernando, you did a little video for me. I've actually been to amicalola falls State Park and hiked all the way from there to mount katahdin Maine. Not all-in-one trip though.

When I was a child, I always looked forward to the Wonderful World of Disney with great enthusiasm. Thank you for sharing and making my childhood dreams come true again.

I was born in 1969 but grwoing up in the early 1970's, every sunday night we'd sit and watch The wonderful world of disneyu and watch movies like this with a big bowl of popcorn for all us kids tro share. We were glued. And I have raised my own son and daughter on the Wonderful world of DFiosney and Disney World.

I live in Lecanto and was thinking I’d like to ride the lake but it looks to me like a newcomer could easily get bogged in vegetation three inches under the water. Nasty.

I remember seeing this on Sunday night when I was little. Sundays dinner was always in front on the tv, and we ate on fold out tv tray tables. Back when entire families sat down to dinner together, and Uncle Walt brought us new stories every week. Ah, the good old days of Disney gone by.

My parents showed me the VHS of this when I was a kid. And this was back when Disney was clean, not the trash it shows nowadays with lgbt. This was when movies and tv were considered clean. It's a shame Disney can't go back to the way they used to be.

I grew up riding Appys!!! I loved Mary and I loved Holy Smoke but Silver stole the show!!!! ❤❤❤

I am also 72and my uncle had the first color tv and lived across the street from us, I would go to their house and watch the Wonderful World of Disney with my cousin. In my teens I bought my first horse. In my twenty's I bought and was the proud owner of a Registered Appaloosa horse who was a dream to own.

The original Appy’s probably came from horses that arrived with trappers out of Canada and then through selection by the Nez Perce. Appy’s had a more baroque conformation until the Appaloosa Club got ahold of them and basically turned them into quarter horse clones. The french horses probably crossed with Spanish horses. Definitely not out of Mexico and since the french were in the territories looong before spain, 17th century horses in Canada had a strong foothold. But this is the junk period of Disney where the facts were very low and animal abuse making these “documentaries” was high.

This movie, along with Old Yeller, was my first Western film back when I was a little kid ^_^

Every Sunday 6.30pm our routine was bath, dinner and ready to watch it's a wonderful world of Disney then bed 7.30pm. I'm 56 years old and remember with fond memories of our family enjoying the show and hating if we had to wait a whole week for the outcome ❤❤❤

I'm 62 and grew up on Disney never seen this one. Thank you for posting it loved it. They don't make good shows any more.

Thank you for sharing, that was a trip down memory lane. I actually was raised down in the south of Arizona. What a rush having your own horses as a kid, Chopo my quarter horse was my best friend.

I remember watching this film in the third grade! I swear my teacher left this with our sub and said a prayer that I wouldn't drive the rest of my class crazy because I was so obsessed with horses. LOL!

Oh my gosh, the race scenes! Incredible riding….how she hung on to that horse. Times sure have changed…somethings for the better, somethings for the worse. Seems like people were tougher back then and more trusting about stuff. Can’t recall ever seeing this movie even though we were huddled around that tv set as a family every Sunday evening! Fun memories.

I am glad horse training has come a long way since then, but I did enjoy the movie.

As a horse loving kid of the 60s and 70s with movies such as Run Appaloosa Run, The Horse With the Flying Tail, Justin Morgan Had A Horse and let’s not forget all the great tv movie horses, Flicka, Fury and many more. It was almost like every Sunday you could live your dreams in front of the tv. Now a days movies and tv shows area all about shooting, killing, sex and violence. No wonder the world is so screwed up.

It has been decades since I last saw this, but I still remember it. Along with Hacksaw, Justin Morgan had a horse, and Flight of the White Stallions. There was also Twister, Charlie the lonesome cougar, and one about a grizzly bear. I don't remember the name of that one.

My first horse was an Appaloosa pony named Scout, 38 years later still loving and working with horses. Not Appy's but just as good!
