Strap rollers stick it right on the side of rub rails rolls em nice and tight if you’re feeling extra fancy they have some that are drill powered but the old crank style all I’ve ever used fastest way to roll up straps still but if you’re rolling straps to tuck in and tighten down your load this is the way

Some people use glow plugs. He prefers to get the starter glowing red hot. ~boB

You can improve this roll up technique even more by starting in the middle of the strap. Just fold it and roll up both sides ontop of each other at once.

As a truck driver in the oilfield this isn't proper. Our tool boxes have alot of these straps and doing like that won't fit them. We have a tool you can buy that you put the strap through and turn the handle and it rolls up proper. Either way doing it by hand takes max 30 seconds per strap. It's not hard.
