Here we go again. Black and white flicks intriguing the imagination, for the color schemes of the actors ensembles and the ambiance of their platforms. Great stuff.. Keeps the brain in gear.

1:37 & yet, direct democracy & democratically decided government, finds little support among libertarians of today, who seem to believe that non-commercial group action cannot "govern" fairly? "Government" _isn't_ intrinsically harmful; *privatization* *_is_* intrinsically harmful, by dismantling public authority in favor of plutocratic exclusivity.
Vote pirate!
Yep
So now the gays have even tried to highjack the Pirate flag. This is a joke......right? Grifters be griften.....
My deepest apologies for the whiteboard.

Pulling for you V!
Abolish the IRS! Property Taxes require little oversight and should expire when property liens are resolved except for when a property is used to generate revenue.
VOTE COMENZO FOR PRESIDENT 2024!

Good to see the PPI is not the only organisation having messy bylaws.
If I am understanding this concept, it's a great idea, IMO. One could even look at this as true "piracy", which is apropos. If Pirate candidates run as Dinos or Rinos, they are going to be more likely to get attention from the masses/voters. Since the corporate parties won't allow (let's face it, that's what's happening) third party candidates on the voting "ship", then we should take our place on board by coercion....meaning, beat them at their own game by running under their banners. Once elected, our candidates can push for what we believe in, kinda like D's and R's push for their own agendas, regardless of what they promise during the electoral process. Difference being, our candidates actually working to serve the people, rather than themselves. If I am misunderstanding the gist, please forgive me; but that is an idea I had, myself, a couple of years ago as it seems to be the only way to beat Goliath.....and subversion of this nature seems to be fitting, given our namesake, though a "Pirate" to us is obviously not the same thing as Long John Silver, so to speak. LOL!! But...it would be appropriate to commandeer their "ship" this way, IMO. The way I look at it, the two corporate parties have all but shored up the electoral process. If we want in....we're going to have to play their game. What was it Malcolm X said, "By any means necessary"? The main thing is "getting in". If we get in....then, we can make a difference, then, we can make a change; and if enough of "us" win these elections and make it to Congress, THEN....we can "take over the ship," so to speak. Once again, if that's not what's being suggested.......then I would suggest it.
I don’t think that there’s any conspiracy over the the Covid vaccine efficacy in its inability to prevent infection or spread of Covid-19. Bodily autonomy means having the choice over this particular ‘vaccine’ which has not delivered…it’s not even a true vaccine. The US isn’t a democracy, it’s a Representative Republic by design with a very concise Constitution. Be a Pirate if you want, but socialism doesn’t promote liberty in speech or action. I will be looking at your party for more info.
Hello Alex
Hi 👋 Jammy
Interesting topic. And as a European, I don't get the US approach to virtually everything, labour laws included: let's not regulate anything, the invisible hand of the market is better than a missing limb of our own... To quote Derek Thompson from The Atlantic: "If Americans want to live the dream, they have to wake up first" or my favourite TV author ever, the great Aaron Sorkin: "The first step to solving any problem is recognizing there is one." I kinda feel like a douche, quoting Americans to Americans from across the pond, trying to wake them up, not just today but very much every day for the past ten, fifteen years. But sadly, most Americans are unable to see their own problems themselves by being ill equipped to compare with the rest of the world. But it's just sad to see the (very falsely) self-proclaimed "greatest country in the world" trailing in virtually every sector from education to labour protections behind my post communist country with the combined 50 years of democratic tradition. When I feel desperate of my countrymen being ignorant of the world, I always come to their lack of English being unable to easily learn about the world. The Americans have the luxury of being born with the world language on their lips yet for some reason choose to self-inflict ignorance on themselves.
Don't worry, your comment was very thoughtful, not patronizing or condescending. Americans are a funny bunch. Some of us are acutely aware of the problems that are ruining this place. Unfortunately, we're outnumbered by people who are too caught up in their daily life to realize that our healthcare system is broken, billionaires are buying politicians, our police are above the law, etc. Even worse are the Americans who actively exasperated these problems. It's hard to point to exactly one cause for our jingoism, but a few of the biggest catalysts are the following: •Ronald Reagan's cult of personality and Reaganomics •The assassination of Abraham Lincoln and the failure to reintegrate the former confederate states •George W. Bush's EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS victory in 2000, and the post-9/11 paranoia he ushered in
Neat
It's no surprise Ivan Bartoš was on the very top of your list. 🙂 Honestly, the road so far has been fascinating - I've always kept in mind who is the Pirate in the highest elected office at any given time. It used to Vojtech Pikal between 2017 and 2019 as the deputy president of the Czech Parliament's lower chamber; then from 2019 to 2021 Marcel Kolaja, the vice president of the European Parliament. Now, since the end of 2021 it's definitely Ivan, a deputy PM, closely followed by Jan Lipavsky, the Czech foreign minister. It's a wild ride. PS: We've never been part of a minority government (you probably meant part of the opposition); minority governments usually don't really occur over here anyway.
Apologies, I don’t always have a best grasp on parliamentary terminology. I just wish we had the system here haha.
I've been recommending the Pirate Party to LP people who are disgusted with the Paleo Conservative/Mises Caucus takeover of the Libertarian Party at their National Convention in Reno, NV this past weekend!
Yes, the Patriot act is really scary. I wholeheartedly agree, but why are you pirates?
I wanted to offer some input but don't prime the pumps in such a way where you ask for reform of copyright because the trouble is if you actually get elected the parties in the legislature will inevitably offer compromises to you. So what you need is to ask for much more than what you want and yet singal flexibility and willingness to compromise for less. if the party as it did in the oregon minutes say that it's about reform and that 14 years is the most it'd settle for that's a mistake it should say our goal is about abolition entirely not reform but that we'd settle for reform and the reason it's this way is that in the united states once an agenda reaches critical mass it's usually ineivtably eventually watered down by the time it actually passes. so you don't want to make the starting bid reform, the starting bid should be abolition. because we'll get a much better bill with less holes in it if we do that. long term if you 're ever actually in power youll end up having to compromise down so don't set the goalpost at at something like 3 years set it at none and then compromise down when it comes time to negotiate.
It's strange to watch a Pirate meeting where everyone speaks perfect English for once. :D And we'll be happy to welcome you into PPI at the nearest GA. :-)
I personally am a big fan of the Pirate names. Keeps with the culture
Okay okay I’m going to the gym now
What are you gonna do about the situation
If the future of America is in the hands of this coalition of stunning bearded lads, we’ll be okay.
Thanks for taking this on. It looks like you’re making progress in the U.S.!

Hello there! Some of the comments I heard are the same comments I've said recently to Mr. Klein ha! Career politicians are choking the system and new idiots and conspiracy nut jobs are killing democracy. The founders of this country are rolling in there graves.
