I bought the exact pair last week, great build, great fit, comfortable and inexpensive compared to premium overpriced brands that mfg $300. boots overseas. Rockrooster makes a fantastic work boot with real leather goodyear welt and vibram wedge sole. I paid $99. for my Norwood's. I'm very pleased compared to my $300. Redwings which were torture devices to break in. Rockrooster for the win. Great video. Thank you.

Must admit is very complex to size on Red Wing, as they are very inconsistent regarding boot internal length in comparison to the size printed on the label. To give you an example, I've got several pairs of Moc Toe or Iron Ranger labelled all as 11.5 D and the internal length of the boot varies about a 1/4 of an inch, some of them being 29.5 cm long and some of them being 30 cm long. That 0.5 cm - around a quarter of an inch difference, represents in fact a half size. So what's printed on the boot label in regards to the internal boot length might confuse a lot of people and made them think that they are a full size down, but in fact you are wearing a pair labelled 11 D, which in fact is having the internal length of an 11.5 D, as simple as that...!

Speed hooks, dangerous! Ask me how I know. That and you can't just untie your boots when you get home and vent for a few before you strip down from work. Speed LOOPS( military style) on the other hand are great for 8" boots and taller

Maybe a shoe manufacturer will male a conductive sneaker/shoe sole (carbon?) Instead of the rubber sole? Rubber soles are bad for people's health!

Caution: They are finding now that silver threaded grounding products (sheets. pillow cases, etc) are now being discovered that the silver quickly oxidizes (body sweat, laundry soaps , etc) causing a quick decrease in the charge. Newer thread material is made from carbon thread fibers which is conductive and does not oxidize. Many U.S. companies now use carbon, but lots of Chinese companies don't.

Under no circumstances will I wear work moc toes to go out to dinner with my wife, unless we meet on the way before getting home, something casual, I may not be rich but I have a dress code, and even more so if it is with my wife, they are work boots, not dress shoes, I don't think they were used to go out to dinner in the early 20th century.

I have tried different oils, conditioner, cream, wax, etc. Honestly, I can't say if 1 works better. They all work. I haven't found a bad product. Nothing damaged the leather.

The Iron ranger are two different styles.

I like both, but maybe I’m nitpicking and this is just a personal preference in style but I like the lower profile on the tip from my Thursday vs the more bulky round and I know I am going to get some hate but almost clown shoe like tip on the Iron Rangers, and I fully understand that Red Wings are more work field oriented, and maybe that’s why they benefit from that look, but man if Red Wings would make ones a little closer to the capitan that would be game changer.

I'm confused about the construction. I think blake stitch usually means that the stitches go from the outsole straight through to the insole, making it a not-water-proof method of construction. The website also does not seem to mention blake construction (for THIS model). Are you really sure they are resolable? On a related note, I hope the 1-year review is coming soon (should be any day now, right?)!

I wear my 1907 in size US9D with thick wool socks. My toes can wiggle with no pressure. Wonderfully comfortable there, but the heels still rub and move around. I always need to put big Band-Aids there. Now I a bit regret I should have chosen size 8.5D or EE instead.. For reference, I wear Adidas sneakers in size 9.5, Frye harness boots in 9D, Clarks Wallabee boots in 9.5D.

I ordered the Banderas today from their website, should arrive in 3 days. I have a tecovas store within short walking distance and surprisingly they didn't have the Banderas in inventory. The young folks working there hadn't heard of that boot. Apparently they are not sold in every store because it's more of a work boot, even though it also looks great. Anyway, i got to teach them about the Banderas and they looked them up online. I really wanted to try them on first because of the removable insoles. I wear an 11.5 DD in other tecovas without insole, but wasn't sure if removable insoles will make these too tight or not. But if they end up not fitting right, or have any flaw it's easy to return at the store location rather than shipping them back myself. 👍🏻 I ordered mine in chocolate (dark brown cowhide,), which i think is a new color in 2024. You don't need to do walking. Sit in a chair, bench or picnic outside and place your bare feet on the ground. Read a book, listen to a radio or meditate on the view!

I have a pair, had to go 1/2 size down also. I have had a hard time with them, they really do a number on the back of my heels. I swapped out the insole for something less squishy but has not helped out all that much.

Can I find out what model of boots the Nicks employee in the video is wearing? If I knew the employee's name, I would ask on places like Reddit. I would appreciate your help. It seems like they might be using the Veg. tan leather of the Robert model, but I'm curious about the exact specifications.

Hi, I am back after 6 months of wearing my Numzaan's, they are solid relating to construction. I wear a narrow D, UK 10 usually and probably needed to go with a 10.5 UK in Numzaan, due to the toe box hight. So on my part ordering from the internet, I ordered mine a tad just too small (but just because of the toe box hight) Next time I will order a bigger size, so that I can also ad an insole, because my feet does not fit into the numzaans with insoles in a UK10. I walk them without insoles at the moment, not the best way to go about things but I do have other footwear (all my other footwear is UK10 and fit fine) I have to be honest about that almond shape look from the top, not a big fan of that, so not a fan of the last, wonder why Jim Green just go out and buy a few popular boots and create a better last. I have some danner boots that just look good from the top and the boot fits like a glove. These Numzaans still look like clown shoes to me. Best is to fit boots at a physical store with thick socks. I will not order shoes or boots going forward from the internet again. That is just me but in general Jim Green is a great company! I am just not a fan of this last. Maybe Rose Anvil can assist Jim Green with better looking lasts.

The speed hooks are the biggest issue they will destroy the leather with the burrs and sharp places. I used sand paper and needle nose pliers to bend them more and sand them down. Gonna try putting moleskin on them next. Don’t want to use a kilti honestly my 8085 have a gouge from 3 wears and trying to save my 8111 from that beginning

Very interesting. I love natural fibers in clothing, but man, having moisture wicking/quick dry properties in boxer briefs is a great feature, especially when its warm out. However there are obviously potential drawbacks to synthetics. Btw, you memtioned your shirt, where is that from?
