Really enjoy these videos. My parents used to take me for family picnics to the shore of the Coquitlam River near the bridge just east of the Lougheed Highway. I would fish but never had so much as a bite. It was beautiful and looked like a prime fishing spot but it was barren with no fish. My understanding is that the fish population had been decimated for decades due to gravel extraction upstream. I don't know what it's like now, but that river needs some respect and needs to e allowed to recover. There's no excuse for its continued ruination. Hopefully, things are better now.

I didn't know Colony Farm had been renamed. It was most famous for the psychiatric hospital I think.

I lived in that area for a long time and I really appreciate your videos.

Oh, man. I used to live along the dyke on the Pitt Meadows side of the river. I was just a kid of around 18 or 19 and rented a basement suite in a farmhouse on a pig farm. No, it did not belong to Willie Pickton, but years later when the crimes were discovered it sure had me checking addresses. 😂 Really enjoy some of these videos of yours.

I worked at the mill there for a bit 20yrs ago. I will never forget that place. Beautiful country around there. So nice. Often in my thoughts. I saw something mysterious in the water one day … ill never know what it was. Dark, fast moving, and massive.

I used to live on eagle island right across sultry bay where the ferry terminals are : ( my stepdads parents owned it but I think it’s sold now ) 😞. Was so beautiful About a ten minute boat ride to our island From the marina we parked at the flowery terminals and also parked at hummingbird cove . I really miss it there . I went to middle school there . I can’t remember the name of the school though ! But my French teacher was mr Leblanc
