You are a good man Papa for helping this veteran. Why is the VA incapable of of making this man comfortable? As for the bed you can get a form fitting plastic sheet to protect the mattress. Cover that with a regular sheet. If you look on Amazon you should be able to find absorbent pads that are washable. They are about the size of a seat cushion on a reclining chair. The disposable paper pads get expensive after awhile.
Thank you. I seen the pads just wasn't to sure how good they work and there is so many paid reviews its makes it hard to believe any of them.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching !!
hi i have a solution for this problem the part number is 42009 by dorman hope this help some of u guys

Hell ya brother!! Already looking better!
its getting there still a lot more to do
Looking good so far Pappa.
Thank you !!
Holy moly, more bends then river!! Just checking in!!
ya there's one or two lol
Great job, Papa!
Great job, Papa!
thank you !!
Hi papa don't own that craftsmam, yet, lol!!
I am hoping the back drag will loosen up but for that to happen I need to put the Pittsburgh Pro down lol
Hell ya man!!! Get er done. Let me know if you need any help!!
thank ya brother !!
I'll take light back drag over high tooth. I started with 36 tooth ratchets as they were the norm in the industry at the time. I have a 20 tooth Snap-on 3/8 from the 70s. There were times when you wished you had some extra teeth but with a little manipulation and holding your tongue right, you could grab that one tooth you needed. Though I now have some 90 tooth ratchets I acquired as of late, I still reach for my well broken in 36 tooth ratchets.
I personally anything over 90 is just crazy and gonna break to easy
Papas Hobby Garage, nice content bro
Thank you
Oh boy,she needs some help!!
Just a little love lol
Good old chainfall!! Love them,strong,reliable,precise!!
ya they come in handy. Might do a live show while I am straightening the frame. People may have questions on why and hows.
For the money Knipex charges, there is absolutely no reason why they shouldn’t back a FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY
They sure feel different lol. Thanks for watching !!
This is a great topic papa!! We can all relate to sh#t parts!! Its killing all of us!!
Its been worse then ever
You're not the only guy ranting about the current state of replacement parts. There have been many others who say the same thing. One channel I watch went through 5 aftermarket steering racks before they got a good one. They had another vehicle that just came in for a rack. This time they went with one from the manufacturer. I used to work for the local independent parts store. I got in the habit of inspecting rebuilt starters and alternators. I opened a brand new box to find a core inside. I also inspected electrical items. I received modules and sensors that were installed and returned because it didn't fix the problem. One box contained a corroded well used sensor. One of the warehouses that I picked up our orders gave us a dented oil filter. I inspected each one. When I asked if they had another the reply was no. I refused it. The counterman wrote it up as a "new return" and it went back on their shelf to sell again. It's not just the auto industry. Other trades are getting defective parts out of the box. I assist a friend who does plumbing, HVAC and electrical. Our boiler decided to crap out. He replaced the module. It failed within a couple of days. He went through 3 in one day replacing it. Bad right out of the box. At our other house the boiler needed some work. The temp/pressure gauge was not reading correctly. Installed a new gauge. Refire the boiler and got it up to temperature. The new gauge filled with water and began steaming. It was the end of the day. Called the warehouse. That was the last one they had. It's now 5:00 and all the plumbing/heating warehouses are closed. Tennant had to go without heat that night. He installed a new bathroom vent fan. New fan makes a racket.
its crazy
Frickin grappy parts, nothing will pee you off more then that!!! Its been happening more and more!!!
Facts
Are you keeping it running while pulling plugs
no never
Run the sea foam in vac system while its running then drive it for 100 miles or so then let kool off do plugs. If plug is giving you a issue spray little pb blaster work plug back or fourth.
Ok just wondering because of the background noise in the previous clip of you pulling the plugs
@curtyoung1175 maybe fans and ac it's been hot as hell here
Well it’s also old and with 300,000 miles you’d expect any truck to break down by then.
The fuel pump was just put in. The pump didn't last 200 miles. So I don't blame the truck for faulty parts. The truck has never broke down on me. I know some day its gonna need new engine and transmission but as of right not nether give me any issues. Not even a check engine light.
@haborfreight please make a set for 13mm 1/2" 9/16" they will sell.
ya I said the same thing 8MM would be nice also
Great job papa!! Back in forth, patience and your prep work made a job most DIYr would of had a bad day!! Seen many people break them!!!!
SR thank you for watching
I think I will just buy a decent ratchet that is already made i don't have the time to waste on trying to make something i can buy for about the same price
I made it for under $50 and it took less then a hour. Show me where you can buy it for less then $100

The recommended technique is to get the engine up to temperature and use an impact gun to get the plugs out. That just seems to be a little harsh to me. I like the way you did it. Taking your time, feeling for resistance, going back and forth. It is my understanding that the plugs protrude quite far into the combustion chamber where carbon builds up on the plugs. That's why they break coming out. I see below that you used Sea Foam to break up the carbon. Back in the day we used water to decarbonize combustion chambers.
yes water gives it a steam bath
Well your lucky none of the plugs broke while removing them . 3000 thousand miles is awesome . Nice job .
Thank you. I prep the engine ahead of time. Sea foam in vacuum system and used pb blaster on it if I didn't like the feel I was getting and just took my time worked the plug back and forth.
We all no about those spark plugs!! Good job papa!! Stay cool down there my friend!!
Thank you. The one plug took over 10 min to get out.
Have you changed any over to 134a? A friend of mine changed out the 1234yf to 134a.
No. I have no plan on changing out a complete Ac system lol.
Condensers, accumilater, compressor, are expensive!! I had compressors seize up!! Good content pappa!! Everybody loves the Husky ratchet!!
The condensers with the R1234yf are not lasting. It's crazy that they need to be replaced after 4 years
Got to have grinders!! I use my craftsman corded!! I may get the Milwaukee cordless!! Thanks papa for showing us what you use!
I have had many over the years and one thing I have learned with grinders is keep it simple.
Good luck on replacing your sparkplugs. I'm really hoping I can get 300k on mine.
I have a trick or two up my sleave lol. I don't see why you wont get that 300K. Keep clean oil and listen to the rear.
@@PapasHobbyGarage 5.4 sparkplugs would be a great video.
@@petescustomcarshop only if they come out lol
you do not deserve that truck- too good for you.
That man drives the truck like it was meant to be drivin they are work heavy duty trucks most guys just buy them to look cool and over compensate for something there missing in there pants 😂🤡 get out this man’s comments
lmao if I wanted a show truck it sure wouldn't be a 05 F150. Don't get me wrong I love my truck but it sure isn't a show truck.
@@stretch5626 Thank you. Just becuase I drive her hard doesn't mean I don't love here and take care of her.
I spend more on a set of tires then what you make in a month.
@@PapasHobbyGarage yes, I know it is not a show truck, but as my father used to say: "you take care of your equipment, it will take care of you" (USMC saying I believe). Not changing the plugs for 300K miles is shear abuse- you should be in jail.
Thanks for the tool reviews. Surprised on the hammer set. Haven't looked at the Horsedy (Spelling) hammers before but will check them out.
yw thanks for watching.
I have 2 4 1/2 grinders. I used to have a Craftsman corded electric die grinder that I used quite a bit. I have a 7' grinder but haven't used it.
I have a die grinder only time i really use it is tire repair. I have a dynafile i use often when I remember I have it lol.
Nothing wrong with Craftsman cordless tools. They get the job done.
And they take a lot of abuse
Papa is in the a House!! Great to see your internet back on!!
its not was doing it with my hot spot on my phone.
Good honest review. I'd be interested in another live. Monday is a good day around 8PM. I've seen the Duratech tools reviewed. Duratech is made by Goldstar, the company that now owns SK. Warranty seems to be an issue. Craftsman's ratchets seem to be hit or miss lately. The V Series look similar to the Mac Axis and the Proto. The lack of serviceability and a comfort grip the size of a cigarette butt keep me from buying one.
The craftsman V Series is not a bad ratchet. I dont care if a ratchet can be serviced I have had more issues with ratchets that can be serviced then not.
I looked tot your live, I might have been late
thank you
Yes sir papa!! Stay cool!!
trying
I bought one on sale just to see what the hype is about. They seem pretty smooth but I haven't really used it.
I think it was a huge let down.
Have you tried the new Japanese tools? I got one of them koken ratchets. They're supposed to have minimal backdrag.
@@sanchocloset5987 not personally no. I will look into them.

Finally getting a break from doing auto repair. I will be doing better longer video once my internet is right.
Hyundai's sales pitch used to be "Cars that make sense". Their new sales pitch should be "Cars that nickel and dime you to death".
lmao I don't hate them but damn why is all I ask. At least the bushing is cheap. I guess it isn't so bad for the young mechanics. But once you get near 50 and have broken your back changing out that bushing sucks
@@PapasHobbyGarage I hear you Papa. I'll be 55 in August. I have osteoarthritis in my thumbs. If I'm on my feet too long they hurt like hell. I'm getting too old for the "calisthenics", as I've come to call the constant getting up and down, of working with jack stands. The mind knows what to do but the body don't want to cooperate.
What are you crying about?
Don't recall crying. If you don't know what the part is you just wouldn't understand.
