Congratulations! Thank you for performing my music!
@@ClarkProductions118 Thank you so much! I absolutely loved performing the 2nd movement. It's an excellent combination of emotion and drama along with excitement and passion
I was shocked when I heard 12th place received an 80 score. I knew from there that scores would be insane. I was sad to see ESF only make 7th place as this year's show is spectacular. I'm very proud of ESF for their many successes, including their first BOA regional championship this year. Hats off to Dane and the other amazing directors at ESF!
@@rjanuary Scores were very high this year for sure. This season has been spectacular for Santa Fe, and I'm so proud of them for all they've accomplished this year! It was truly last time, best time, and knowing that is more important than any placement or trophy
@@JoshuaTheClarinetGuy I'm thankful for all that you have contributed in previous years in getting Santa Fe to this point where they are able to compete at a high level. That's a legacy that will live on and continue to do great things!
@@rjanuary Thank you so much! All glory to God. The Santa Fe band has come a long way since I was a freshman in 2020, and it's been a true blessing and honor to help pave the way for a bright future. I hope Alex is enjoying band and had a great time this season!
What state?
Oklahoma!
played this my junior year of high school with my sax quartet (i play bari), we challenged ourselves to memorize the whole piece and play it memorized at state. We got 1’s and till this day i can remember how nervous i was 😂 this isn’t a easy piece, so i give you props on making it sound amazing, good job guys
@@Julio-om5mi Thank you so much! Congrats to you on your musicianship and success! Memorizing a piece like this is definitely challenging, but it makes communicating and rehearsing much more effective. Me and Preston (the soprano) were seniors when we performed this, and Will and Spencer were sophomores. It's good that you can play such high level literature at a young age!
@@JoshuaTheClarinetGuy It was really challenging and i couldn’t had done it without the support of my peers, the alto and tenor of the sax quartet were sophomores, i was a junior at the time and our soprano was a senior. I graduated this year but those memories are going to live with me forever, music does bring people together.
@@Julio-om5mi Absolutely, music can unite people who speak different languages, have different beliefs, and beyond. I'm glad that you graduated high school with such a positive band experience! I'm a freshman Music Education major at UCO right now, and, by God's grace, I hope to share the love of music with others as an Oklahoma band director
Discussion questions 1. What is something you learned tonight that surprised you or that you hadn't thought about before? 2. Even though we've never been to heaven or hell, how can knowledge about them affect how we live and make us better Christians? 3. God repeatedly gives everyone a chance to repent and turn to Him, even though He knows some never will. Where have you seen this kind of grace in your life or in the lives of others? How can you show this grace to someone in your life this week? 4. Is there someone you know who's “a good person” but you know doesn't follow Jesus? How does it make you feel to know that, if they died today, they would be in eternal torment? With that in mind, does sharing Jesus with them seem more important and urgent to you?
Keep it up!!!
Thank you!

i think those guys are pretty cool
Yeah, but the tenor sax is kind of meh though... Jk, you're awesome bro 😎👊
@@JoshuaTheClarinetGuynah you were right first, he sucks
Expansion on the point on Caesar's killing: The play is called Julius Caesar, I'm not sure why I couldn't remember that. The majority of the senators killed Caesar maliciously. They killed him out of fear, envy, greed, anger, hate, selfishness, and a desire for power. This is why they stabbed him in the back, without honor. Brutus on the other hand killed Caesar because he believed it was for the good of Rome. He believed it was a sacrifice for the greater good and that Caesar would understand why his death was necessary. Brutus loved Caesar like a brother, and he killed Caesar out of love for him, love for his nation, and a truly sincere belief that it was the right thing to do. This is why he killed Caesar face to face, with honor, not hiding behind others. Brutus made sure that Caesar knew he killed him out of love, not out of hate or spite, and that he was sincerely remorseful for the pain that had to be caused for the betterment of everyone. This is how we must confront others in Christ: with honesty and love, not with behind the back complaints and criticisms
