Beautiful riding conditions out there lately.
Got out for a good longer lap on the Knolly. Suspension felt great on the flow trails I've been riding but felt a bit off on this longer techy descent so I need to figure that out... Maybe less rebound? Bike still felt amazing overall!

Definitely. It's so plush, just soaks up anything you throw at it.
I don’t mind your sniffing, drives my wife nuts though (so thank u!) ha! But seriously get a histamine blocker

All my videos are the real speed... I think it just looks extra shaky as this was shot just before sunset on an older gopro

Good eye! Yeah, I think it helps focus your eyes on the centre for pov footage
What are the trail names ? Is this at Hartland ?
this is most definitely not hartland, its bear mountain area

Beautiful trail ! - looks much steeper than the othert Cumberland stuff you posted so far.
The forest is so green on this one! Definitely a bit steeper too, I need to ride more of the blacks and double blacks next time I'm there.
Hope the trails survived the atmospheric river ! Insane amounts of water coming down on the North shore yesterday :(
Yeah that looked brutal, scary to see 😞 It was rainy in Victoria but definitely not as bad as in Vancouver. Was out hiking this morning and the trails weren’t too bad!

You were much more calm and agreeable than I could have been. Especially if there is a leash law there.
I’ve noticed dog walkers bringing large groups of dogs to partridge hills (10+)… had the same issue coming down swipe right last week and was swarmed by a big group of dogs. Nothing wrong with dogs out on trails but keep them close by, in smaller numbers and under control 🤷🏻

As far as I understand, dogs are not allowed off leash on BC parks land (which I believe this mtb trail is on).

That wasn't a pitbull. It looks like a ridgeback / something mix . Buddy has no excuse for the lack of their control however. The only thing that pisses me off more than people who know nothing about dogs is dog owners who know nothing about resposnsible ownership * end rant *.

I think it may have been a dog walker that ended up on the wrong trail or something. I thought I could ride away from the first ones but more and more kept emerging from the woods and chasing me
@@MINIMALmtb makes sense. dog walkers are required to wear reflective vests, at least in the greater Vancouver area.

It shows the class of terrain we're lucky to have on the west coast. The island, sunshine coast, just a ferry ride away, but there's always something a bit closer.

Is the weight difference noticeable when you want to point the front tire somewhere on punchy climbs?
@@User-j5q7r hmm not something I’ve really thought about. Can’t say I noticed any differences from the weight. It rides a lot better than the pike in my opinion, though it does have a better damper so that’s part of it

Absolutely! It is a bit of a slog to get up there but these type of long technical trails are my favourite. Need to ride it a few more times to figure out the lines
