Welcome to my Channel. Filming the beauty of the flora and fauna around me is my hobby and I find excitement in creating and sharing them with others who would enjoy them. The focus of my channel is on nature; wild-life, backyard birds and plants. I also post videos on my pet dog, gardening, places we visit, local events, and other random things in daily life. The backyard birds/backyard wildlife presented here are observed in Southern Illinois and others are filmed while visiting places. I am neither a wildlife expert nor an ornithologist, so please correct me if I am wrong in identifying the beauties presented in the videos. I am not trained in photography and the videos are recorded with either phone or a basic recording device, Sony Handycam HDR-CX405. I hope you enjoy the content and thanks for visiting my Channel.

Here’s an interesting one: Couple days ago on my way to our rural small farm there was an item of road kill a little ways down a paved side road, thought it was a raccoon as they’re always getting whacked ‘round here. A bit later same day, went by and there about ten “turkey buzzards” standing around it plus a bald eagle. Never saw more than two or three buzzards at a “scene” before! Few hours later, passed by again, turned to get a closer look, not a critter in sight and the victim was fully intact. It was another buzzard….unmolested! I think those ten or so plus the eagle came out of respect! Any input? (update) The wife just drove by the “scene” today and the bald eagle appeared guarding what she thinks is a younger eagle. Kinda sad.

Cute little birds but quite aggressive when they are nesting!! We had an especially touchy one nest in a tree right outside my door. I had to take a broom with me for protection when I let the dog- that bird would swoop us both! (To clarify- I did NOT use to broom to hit the bird- just waved it around as a distraction)
