My 109 was damaged after attacking a B25. I tried to get as much altitude as possible before the engine would sieze, which it soon did, but i got back to the field and managed to take off just in time to not get bombed to pieces by another raid.

Was heading back to rearm the cannon and couldn't pass the opportunity to bust a bridge. Was a bit over enthusiastic. The lightning has plenty of power to fly on one engine, but the flightmodel still seems a bit dodgy at times, especially when it comes to drag, so for some reason I could hardly stay airborne.

High speed pursuit of a 109 ended with me blowing up the engine on the Spitfire, and the field I chose to land on wasn't perfect either

How do you know it’s not going to be so deep at any one point to where the vehicle and you are completely submerged?. Wild video! A lot of cleanup maintenance afterward I imagine
Why would anybody do that. Water will seap into bearings, differential, transmission no matter how much you waterproof it. Good luck in the days to come Good buddy.
It has a valve on the engine that pressurizes the engine bell housing transmission and gearbox with exhaust gases so water doesn’t enter any of those areas when it is activated

How exactly does that work, I’ve always seen those on trucks but never knew exactly what they were for
WHERE DID YOU FIND SUCH A UNIFORM DEPTH LAKE??!! and a fantastic demonstration!!! I have seen a hundred M38s & M38A1s, a few with the "pipes" but never one that could do this

Interesting to watch, I know they were designed for fording but every seal needs to be newer than 70 years old to still be watertight I would think. That must have also been an area you knew well enough to know it wasn't over 5 feet deep. The Jeep done great.

I just want to know how you knew the lake was so shallow that you could just drive around everywhere in it. Most of the lakes in my area drop off fairly quickly from 4 ft to 10 ft to 30 ft without warning

If you know the lake, you just know the depth. Could have been pretty clear water as well.
