SpaceX's Dragon Endeavour Crew Demo 2- Launch!

Seen from Titusville. Filmed through my Meade ETX125 with a LUMIX GX85, and tracked manually. It's an older version of that scope so the optics aren't that great. Lot's of humidity and heat also affected clarity and sharpness, though I suspect that I was still a bit out of focus.

Atlas V SBIRS GEO Flight 4 Rocket Launch seen from Fernandina Beach, FL. Over 200 miles north of the Cape. Video taken with a Nikon D3300 through Tamron 70-200 with a 2xTC. Audio is from the live feed I was treaming on my phone. It was obviously about 20 seconds behind.

Noticed the launch going up and quickly grabbed my camera. A little Sony point and shoot, so the video quality is not that great. But you can still see the bright bow shock in the first few seconds of the video. By this point the rocket was already far out over the Atlantic and in the upper atmosphere.
November Zysygy "Supermoon"- Airplane shot

Second video from the November 2016 perigee-zysygy moon. Only about 20 seconds long, but got an airplane flying through the shot. The telescope is 1900mm focal length, and my house is only about 5-6 miles from the coast, so the plane is easily several miles off shore. Edits to sharpness and clarity in Photoshop CC.

The Novemember 2016 Perigee-Zysygy moon. The so-called "supermoon" made its closest approach to earth in nearly 70 years. Sorry for the poor quality. Did not realize camera was set to auto ISO, so it's a bit grainy. Shot through Meade ETX125 on Nikon D3300. Converted to black and white, adjustments in Photoshop.

That was crazy. And gutsy, you can totally imagine how something like this would turn out very cringe, or even just plain boring, if the actors aren't that into it or don't have this kind of chemistry. But it was a delight to watch.

Didn't think about running through stabilization software till after I uploaded. Will def look in to it next time. There is a Falcon 9 launch next week I may go watch. Scheduled for AM so should be epic with the rising sun lighting up the exhaust in the upper atmosphere.
