こんにちはみんなさん!I hope you enjoyed the video~ After we left the movie theater, she saw a sign for a Chinese restaurant and asked if I wanted to try it. When we got inside she started speaking to the staff in Chinese. Next thing I knew, we were sitting at a table with a giant hole it, and she starts telling me to choose stuff from a tablet 😭. (me being confused for 10 minutes straight) * cries in ame...

My First Day at a Japanese Language School | +My Experience Being in Japan so far
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
こんにちは皆んなさん! In this video I talk about my first day of class as a Japanese Language student in Japan, and I passionately discuss the placement exam and how I feel about staying in a sharehouse. Being in a different country and new space in general is quite the adjustment, but I look forward to finding my rhythm as I take things one day at a time. And once again, I do apologize if my speaking vo...

Resources I Use to Study Japanese (As a Self Learner)
I once had Nagasaki Champon at a 1 Star Michellin restaurant in Sasebo. Cheap but awesome. Since then Nagasaki Champon is my favorite Japanese dish ;)
How did your family react to you studying abroad? I plan on doing it my senior year of college
You got the bag! 😂 私の日本語が上手ではない。 But as long as it's understood, a win is still a win! ✨
This is so serene, and the song is beautiful too. It sounds like something Ichiko Aoba would sing.
日本語を勉強します、でも、今じゃない。 (Did I even say it right? 😅)
Ah, I keep forgetting all the days apart from 火曜日、日曜日、と 月曜日。ありがとうございます!
すごい! I had to use the translate function to find out the meanings. What's the kanji after "ga"?
Youre posts are so good❤️

IVE MISSED YOU 🥹😩 where have u been???
Life has been life-ing but I hope to post more soon❣️
Hello good work, can i have your email address will be happy to ask some questions?
I’ve been searching high and low for a Black Girl studying in Japan😭
As a Japanese person, your first impression is very good. I think your life will improve.
日本語が完璧じゃないですけど頑張っています😎✨
Hi joy please can I email you. I want to study in japan
Funny how Siri flows with you lol
I love this. It made me see how my experience would probably be. I leave to go to Japan in August, and my semester starts in September. But I will be staying in my own apartment instead of a shared home. But I do hope to see you! Thank you for this!🥰
Honest review so far?
Hi Joy. I applied to a language school in Japan. They said they’r gonna interview me .. Can you make a video about the interview, the questions they asked….. and etc
Minna No Nihongo also has its sister book - "Translation and Grammatical Notes in English" which is the same thing - only it is translated to English and grammar for each point is explained. I am sure you must know it but I just want to underline how useful it is to me for learning, too. I love your videos - they are very insightful and motivating, thanks!
I'll be coming to Japan probably by August to study....hope I'll meet you 😊😊
After school I often walked to the station with my friend Benny. This day I grabbed some food from my favorite restaurant Tendon Tenya. Afterwards, I went to the park near my share house, studied, and walked around for a bit. One of the biggest culture shocks for me was the number of people out and about, even at night!!
I liked your video and I am using some of the same ones. Is there an in app purchase for the ones from the App Store? Thanks
I just found your channel/video! Ive always wanted to study in Japan! But now that i have a family and cant see me doing that anytime soon! But im learning Japanese every day! I love seeing how excited you get from learning! Its so encouraging! And ive always wanted to have Japanese homework etc (weird i know) so its so fun seeing all the stuff you get to do!
Hi did you need jlpt n5 for the student visa
So nice to see you posting videos again. Really excited for everything you will show us. Happy new year!
あけましておめでとうございます❤️
Joy, please can l get your email or WhatsApp number. Help a girl out, please
Thank you for your videos! I recently went to Japan and fell in love with their culture, so I wanted to study there but didn't have any idea on what to expect, your videos really help!
Hi! I’m planning to move to Japan next year in July and I’m applying through gogonihon! I just wanted to ask how much your total cost for everything was? So like the tuition, the flight, and your accommodation? I just want to be as prepared as possible
Hi Joy, I love hearing your process. I will have to check out those short story books, thanks for the recommendations. (Also, you are so pretty!) -Monica
What is the name of your language school in Japan?
Congrats on the 95 !!! Great job. Enjoying your videos.
I know how you feel about the small space. We moved from a 3,000 square foot home in Fresno, to a 1,000 sq foot space in Irvine, to a 550 sq ft place in Atsugi. The small space sucks. But smaller homes seem to be the norm here. There are lots of space saving devices and techniques. Try to spend more time in coffee shops and department stores and parks and other public places. Try to focus on the positives and the many wonderful things that Japan has to offer.
Loved your video. We are in the process of moving to Japan now. I know learning Japanese is going to be a huge obstacle for me, because I have to also work a job remotely in the US. I envy you that you are able to attend language school. I would like to, but I am not sure yet if I can afford the time. But I will definitely attend if I can do it.
How old are you?
Thank you for sharing!! I’m going in a couple of weeks so I’m super scared but this really helped me know what was gonna be happening like at the beginning
Hello! I just found your account~ can you do what's in my bag and/or a day in my life as a japanese language student? I'm really wondering what Japanese language students bring to school 😭 do they bring huge bags? What stuff do you need in school: notebook? What type of notebook? Pen or pencil? Do you bring books? I only see students talk about general things/school life in Japan but not information like this 😭 I hope this isn't weird and gets noticed 🫶🏼🫶🏼
how much money did you need to go to language school in japan?
I’ll have to get that short stories book! Thanks for sharing all you use!
Thanks for the update darling if u wanna do for 1yr can u pay on installment ?
Im pretty sure u can! I checked out the website and the only thing is you pay more overall for interest
Great video!!! Very informative!! Much success to you!! 😊
As in 1400$ for 3 months? What school is that?
Another great video! I hope your time in japan is very beneficial and rewarding for you!. Enjoy yourself!
U doing part time job? W video
Are Japanese language schools autistic friendly?
Unfortunately I’m not too sure. It may be different for each school, so you may need to contact the school directly.
You're doing fantastic Joy
Hey there! I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I've been dedicatedly studying Japanese for the past year and will be moving to Japan this September. I couldn't be more excited! If you have any valuable tips to share from your experience as a TH-camr or learning Japanese, I would be thrilled to hear them. My goal is to expand my channel and create a helpful resource for teaching English and reaching a wider audience. Keep up the fantastic work!
As a creator or any person with a goal, it is easy to get caught up in the idea of needing to reach it as quickly as possible. Be assured that good things take time and you will get there with patience and consistency. As for TH-cam, I think it is important to remember that you cannot please everyone. So at the end of the day, all that matters is that you’re pleased with the content that you’ve put out. 日本に楽しんで頑張ってください💕
@@justforjoy thank you so much for the advice! That’s really helpful. It definitely is easy to get caught up in how many likes, follows, etc. so that’s helpful!! Appreciate it
@@TheRealNirvanacan I ask how you made this possible please? Was it expensive? How did you find the right place to stay? These are probably personal questions but I’ve googled it so many times and I never find any answers. I would like to study in Japan but it seems impossible from where I’m stood. It feels like my life is going nowhere and the things I want are never in my reach.
@@jishoumushoku5094 are you asking how I made it possible to study abroad in Japan?
@@TheRealNirvana yes! How did you make it a reality? Like researching places of education and finding reliable ones, finding a good residence, how are you going to sustain your life there? If you don’t want to answer any of these question, that’s okay! I’m prying a bit but I want to study in Japan too! I just don’t know where to start :)
Do you have more videos planned about your experience studying abroad in Japan?
I do! I hope to edit and upload soon 😩
Great video thank you :) one question: what is the age demographic at these language schools, I want to go to one next year but im 33, and feel a bit old maybe? 🤷🏻♂️
I think you’d fit in just fine! Everyone in my classes were in their mid/late twenties and early/mid thirties except for a few people.
Thank you :)
Wow that so cool I wanted to go to korean language school but was to worried it wouldn’t be for me so I’m gonna take the self study route until it’s time for me to take the proficiency test. It’s also interesting to see how different housing is in Japan and Korea I’m living in a goshiwon which is slightly bigger than your share house room but I have a personal shower as well.
