When i turn on my screen doeschange from the tempo logo i only had it for 8 months what can it be?
Sharp bends can cause scattering even if the fiber doesn't break.
Cutting disc? Oh, the cleaving disc 😜
1:01:12 Excellent webinar
Out ceiling fans are DC. They are quieter and use less power than AC fans.
I do not belive the power lines will go to DC ....most electric devices in your home is DC ...theres a AC DC transformer in those devises
You know for the past 50+ years, electronics have used ac/dc converters at the end of the plug right?
I'm in Wyoming and the fusion splicing is starting to get more difficult on our colder days. Is this method more reliable in colder environments?
The thing is, the standard doesn't actually matter, all that matters is that the wires in in the same order at both ends. The standards are just a way to stay consistent, they get taught and included with reference materials, and you can have separate people do either end of the line without issue as long as they're both following the same standard, but you don't lose any connection speed just because you aren't using the standard arrangement.
How to download or Active the Trace View to View files?
You can clean with a regular piece of paper if you don't have anything else on hand.
We just dump it into isopropanol
You mean that Aphex Twin track?
@MaikTiison no I just take a little bottle of isopropyl alcohol and put the fibre glass connector in there No need for an expensive cleaning tool
Man, of course this is an ad for something nobody will buy. Especially not when the box of swabs costs 65$. TH-cam advertising is terrible.
I work on haul trucks that see dust constantly and in the book according to wabtext a cotton swap or air is plenty
cotton swaps can leave lint, and compressed air can leave propellant residue. BUT we hope you don't have any problems.
80% of all reported network outages in fiber is because of me unplugging it to clean it because someone saw 3 crc errors in a week
This is too real
How much do they cost?
Everything fibre optic is super duper expensive
Hey it’s Fez. 😂
stop vocal fry
Sorry, this is useless. It is no more helpful than the owners manual
Is there something we can help you find? A Question you need to have answered?
How do I cut off the extra after I crimp? It leaves a small amount hanging out. I do this so I make sure I’m getting a good connection. The tool itself does not cut the wires clean like some of the others do leaving a tiny amount of wire hanging out and I don’t want them to touch because it can cause a short
I’ve used multiple VFLs and the Tempo unfortunately is the worst I’ve ever used. SC connectors have to placed on a certain way for red light to pass properly. Sometimes having to pull the SC connector half way off to get the optimal red light to pass properly. I do like your guys OTDR though. Red light on that is perfect.
I use T568A in the UK as I can remember it easily there is not much difference between the two if you wired one end as T568A and the other as T568B it makes a crossover cable that is used in situations to connect 2 computers together without a switch for example 2 tills so that can use the same printer
Correct for crossover cables In fact, it doesn't matter which standard you use, so long as both ends of the cables match...
Canada uses 568A I think
Not me in my home haha
I Just call them ‘British and American’ 😂
That’s not how you hold snips
I never knew that AT&T standardized B. I've seen A a few times in the wild.
I'm 25 years of running Ethernet cable in all kinds of offices, INCLUDING government buildings, I've never done 568A.
For tools i want swapable batteries.
if you need a wire in the conduit with a transmitter connected, how’s it going to stop you hitting a gas line?
What if you can’t find the valve box?
Thanks for the question, ideally you’d have the 521E Wire and Valve Locator to track it down, but you can use the 24Bs ‘Chatter Mode’ in a pinch. Chatter Mode turns the solenoid on and off rapidly for you to try to locate the valve by ear.
Absolutely love the Tempo 501! Gotta have it in the tool arsenal!
Doi
Heretic!
Jesus christ, you could have rappelled down Rapunzel's tower with that much stripped wire 😂
why A tho, Standard is B
No there is a reason why both exist cause there is no real standard.
why so much waste?
Was thinking the same, id have stoped before getting more out.
Jeepers, so much waste
Type A? I have actually never cabled A style
Always A.
I usually measure how much to strip by the length of the jack
easy peasy!!
For the locator, it’s just a regular valve locator correct?
The part at 12:26? Yep! But as long as you connect correctly, you should get good results from other types of locators and more importantly, avoid damage to devices. Reach out to Tempo Tech Support if you want to know more!
Hell yea these are the kinds of adds I’m okay eith
NICE !!! Good work guys !
Ya, don’t use this, buy a proper measuring tool. This will leak lights from one end to the other, be bending and breaking and reversing the cable back.
? A vfl is a very commonly used and proper tool? An otdr serves in half the battle of locating a fault and if you don’t understand that you need to stay far away from fiber.
wait...it's an acronym?!!
isn't that rad?
Are these all daisy chained or can they burnout with a fuse
Gonna go fix the wire in my basement. Wish me luck!
An ad for something i probably won't need but it was so hilarious and played it it earned my sub.
Rad! If you liked this, check out our other product launch videos 🫶🏽
