FSD 12.3.4 Country Drive - Not yet RoboTaxi
Took FSD 12.3.4 out for a drive in the country - mostly entering and exiting a high-speed highway. Excitement ensued. 1 disengagement, 8 interventions, and a host of silly stuff. Not quite RoboTaxi yet, but when you break it down, there's a lot to be excited about. Let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

I’m a new MY owner. FSD improvements were a huge factor in my decision to buy. I’m super happy with the car, and FSD 12.4.6 has been mostly great. It has become clear to me, though, that most of the training data is in urban areas and on highways, because FSD is not a great country driver yet for all the reasons shown here. Going wide in turns (inside and outside), hugging the side of the road and even departing the lane, speed too high leading into turns, not recognizing road damage (potholes or the edge of the roadway crumbling). It’s clear that the car knows that other cars and humans = danger! But it doesn’t realize that only inches from the right side of the lane can = a 50 foot drop into a river, and that it should cheat towards the center, especially on turns. I’m of course going to keep using FSD and voice noting my interventions, and I’m confident they’ll get it figured out. Really need more fine grained understanding of the road itself and what’s going on just off road, though.

I had the same tires on my Cadillac xt4. They were done at 48k. Probably a little earlier than that. They drove really nice though.

I like the way you lay your experience out. Very informative. I recently ordered a new Tesla Y and it is quite the learning experience.
