It would have been nice to see Rimuru's soul rip / merciless, but this was still a good song, and good video.
Yeah, the ending of the AMV is pretty weak in general, someone else also had a good suggestion on how to improve it. Hope I remember these things because I do wanna re-do this eventually (not anytime soon though, not before I make a couple other AMVs, lol)

EZ Top 10 most iconic anime scene btw the anime not explain it but meggido principle is manipulating physic, by making lens from water magic Rimuru focusing and redirecting sunlight, strong enough to pierce 2-3 people fully armored, in novel they explain this magic cannot be dispelled by anti magic field because of it's physic nature, more over this magic does not consume much mana but only effective to 2-3 time because the water instantly evaporated because of high heat. Razen commenting that Rimuru falls asleep because of that grand magic is his ignorance, Rimuru still have power left he just exhausted because of harvest festival
And, the fact is, someone had already calculated how large a particular type of lens is needed for the solar lasers. It is said that the diameter of the lens needed to make the Sun a deadly lazer is 2.16m; Rimuru constructed 3m diameter lenses.

My favorite is probably "Like Flames" (OP4) but this one easily hits the most while watching!
This scene always reminds me of that scene in FMA:B where Al finally uses the philosophers stone. For Rimiru it was having the power but lacking the purpose to use it, and fo Al it was having the purpose but lacking the power to fulfill it. Absolutely brilliant.

One of the greatest moments in anime history. Never earn the wrath of a good kind man (ok slime, technically). The moment Rimiru becomes a true demon and monster. Title of Demon Lord is well earned here. He just wanted to live in peace with a few hundred of his friends in the forest, but they wouldn't let him. Power is useless if it doesn't have a purpose. The song is so beautiful and tragic, it rips right through my soul. Well done.
A good person will often have have the predisposition to do something incredibly horrific in comparison to a bad person. The bad person wants to continue doing the things they want for as long as possible either cause they have the means to or moderate themselves, they are held back because of their self preservation. A good person will not have such a limitation, once they have been wrong to the point of either desperation or when they have nothing left to lose, they will act on that impulse immediately because they no longer have restraints. Now obviously this isn’t an absolute statement but you probably have read or watched a story or irl story that depicts this situation and how truly horrifying it can be

He couldn't go on without Shion. Just think of how much of a bloodbath Walpurgis would have been if he couldn't revive her. Furious Rimiru with Diablo by his side.
One of the things I love most about this particular arc is how important it was for Rimuru's growth, as it was the moment he stoped just being a goody two-shooes with, well, not really rose-tinted glasses, but still rather naíve to the evils and ugliness of the world he lived in and of humans in general. Now he saw how horrible humans could be regardless of the world they lived in and, faced with such a reality, realized he could not continue being as he had been so far. He had to become a true ruler of his people and show them the way forward, while also overcoming his own grief at the loss of some of his people (especially Shion) due to the human's cowardly attack. It also diverges from other scenes like this in other Isekai anime. Most would, eventually, forgive their enemies and lt go. However, that is far from realistic and, like Ainz in Overlord, Rimuru did not follow that, frankly ridiculous, trope. He steped up to the plate, took charge of his troops and showed the foolish humans why they were not to be messed with. Why it was a mistake to attack them, especially in the way they did. It's ironic really. The humans bleieved themselves so superior to the "weak, mindless beasts", when in reality they were the weak, foolish ones. They provoked a sleeping dragon and paid the price fo it. And the thing is, the anime, as usual, cut quite a bit of content from the Novel. If you think Rimuru and his' were brutal here, it is nothing to what happens in the Novel, not so much due to blood and other things like that, but because there are details that make this entire arc, and especially Tempest's revenge, all the more, satisfying and brutal. Still, in my opinion, they should have progressed further in their campaign against that stupid king and conquered their lands. Why? Because most of the time that's the only way humans will underestend, through extreme and violent acts. You can't just poke them in the shoulded anymore, they will ignore you. Hit them with a hammer, however, and you'll see you have all of their attention. If Tempest continued their campaign, then they would have made the king's land into an example who why they were to be respected and that they were not weak as most humans thought. Granted, I'm not saying that they should just invade, pillage and kill. A covert take over would have been better, only to reaveal the truth after the fact, similar to what Ainz did. By stopping when the they did, it could pass the message that they could no longer go forward and, thus, appear weak to the human nations, inviting further attacks and invasions. Of course, all of this is just my opinion.
Defninitely agree on this! I always loved how realistic TenSura's world is with stuff like trade routes and everything (which most stories just kinda skip over). Never thought about this one that much but now that you said it, the way the people act is definitely also a lot more realistic than other anime, can't just do the best possible thing in every scenario and everything will end up good. It's also nice how Rimuru basically had to decide between the humans (which he originally was) or the monsters that he helped in this world so far, the latter of which are arguably a lot more innocent but he was still born as a human...
@@yoshiamvs Indeed. There is MUCH more to ruling than what most anime show, be it a village, a nation, an empire, etc... TenSura, while not showing everything, as it would get gritty and even boring for some if they did, certainly shows enough to give a general idea of just how difficult it is to build, let alone manage, any kind of settlement, especially if you are the leader. And you are correct when you say Rimuru had to choose. Indeed, this is a pivotal moment for him. Would he retaing his humanity and forsake his budding nation? Would he forgive and try to seek peace with those who attacked them? Or would he choose to discard his identity as a human, fully embrace his new self as a monster, and become the ruler his people needed? I believe this was the very first decisive and defining moment for Rimuru as a character. Going back to the realism of the situation, it truly mirrors real life. I mean, suppose someone killed someone who was close to you. Like Shion was (and thankfuly still is) with Rimuru. Would you forgive them? Would you try to be their friend? The answer would be a resounding NO. You'd want for that person to pay for what they did. Most would say things like "Leave it to the authorities" or "Let the justice system hadle it". Pardon my french, but to that I say BULLSHIT. The ugle truth is that, as humans are flawed, so is everything they build. Naturally, this includes the so-called justice system. Of course, that is without mentioning just how rotten and currupted said system and those who manage it can be. And when the system fails, as it usualy does, the only thing that's left is to turn to unconventional or even dark methods. One of them being exacting revenge upon their tormentors. One may argue that, when pursuing revenge, one should dig two graves. One for your enemy and one for yourself. But the thing is, such a pursuit and it's ending are not balck and white as people believe. What I mean is, that there is a big difference between pursuing vengeance and allowing for said pursuit to consume the one who seeks said revenge. For instance, one may search for their target and, if the opportunity appears, stike them down and hard (after all, there is no kill like overkill). While at the same time living your life, not only for your own sake and those around you, but also because, being happy with your loved ones is a form of revenge itself. Still, I would like to hear your and other's thought on this topics.
@@MartinAmdor Definitely agree on the fact that showing way more ruling and all that could be boring for a lot of people and I think TenSura struck a pretty good balance there. Mostly showing some more interesting bits while pushing the rest to side characters off-camera, lol. I'm also excited to see future seasons (didn't read LN/Manga) and see how Rimuru handles things going forward after this decision! Though I disagree a bit on the vengeance part, it's definitely entertaining in anime and other stories but seeking out murder in real life as a revenge isn't necessarily the best idea if you ask me (though I assume you exaggarated a bit anyway). But hurting them enough that they lose some things and are given plenty time to rethink their life choices is definitely fair game. But I'd rather not discuss real life politics too much anyway, for one since it keeps getting more depressing and since we're likely living in different countries anyway (at least I assume you're not from switzerland, lol)
@@yoshiamvs Correct. I'm a born argentinian living in Brazil. And when I spoke of vengeance, I did not exagerate at all. I meant every word I said. However, keep in mind that vengeance is hardly limited to murder. After all, depending on the target, death can be a mercy and, sometimes, it's simply better to let them live while having everything around them crumble. Making their very lives their own personal hell. There's a reason for the old saying, "Dying is easy. Living is the challenge". I can't remember who said it, but I think it is quite true. At least in most cases.

That was much evident when Rimuru had already designated the government-in-exile (or, in layman's terms, selected the new leaders, which definitely meant an invasion is already planned) of Falmuth just before he went off to attack.

"It doesn't matter even if it's evil" It tells us that rimuru has let go of what he once thought as justice "Let go of one of the beginnings" This Tells us how rimuru had given up the last shreds of his humanity and accepted the fact that he is a monster not a human "lets end the sadness While lighting many lives" This means he did no longer care of those humans suffering or reasons and just wanted to the best for his people this song hit me really hard

Somehow, listening to the music always gives me an odd feeling that consists of both terror and sadness ._. Terror comes from the fact that Rimuru single-handedly turned a whole army into a massacre (I understand that that army took it upon themselves, since it was them who invaded tempest, nonetheless, it still gives me chills), and sadness comes from the fact that in a world where the strong devours the weak, Rimuru had no choice but to tainted his hands with human blood in order to achieve happiness :v I haven't read the light novel yet, but i just hope that his resolution won't be his undoing :v

I think that makes it more poetic though, even the lyrics sung and the music clashes as well in melodic sense

@@Carlyuuazhb267 Good question! The title does use 'Reimei' (just in japanese). As for the video, I'd assume it's the album's cover? Storyteller and Reimei are probably part of the same album and I guess they named it 'Storyteller' because that's the bigger/more important song. Though I'm really just guessing here, I might be wrong! ^^
god this song, this series, and this AMV mean so so much to me. it was one of me and my mom's favorite series' to watch together and she passed away last year and didn't get to finish the new eps cuz her health was deteriorating but she always loved how happy I seemed when I played this song and sang it for her. I saw this AMV like 3 months after she passed away and finally REALLY broke down and let myself grieve between the timing, lyrics translated, and just thinking about all the things I'll never be able to finish/do with her. thank you so much for making this OP, you're a legend 💕

I read this part in the manga and I had to stop and almost punch a wall from the anger of seeing my fav characters death and then seeing Megiddo was so cool to see and it made me happy but seeing in the anime did the same as in the manga but when our boy Rimoui begin to set up Megiddo idk why but I put my arm up with him then as he launches I followed him! That how strong this part works and idk if I'm along here.
