This crazy and racist wow got to think and do better
I think it’s unfair and overly simplistic to label those who wish to protect traditions as 'less educated.' Traditions often hold deep emotional and cultural significance for people, regardless of their educational background. While I understand the importance of addressing racism and fostering inclusivity, we need to find a way to have these conversations without dismissing people's attachment to their heritage. We live in a world where sensitivity is necessary, but it can also go too far when it leads to alienating or ridiculing those who see value in preserving cultural practices. Isn’t there a way to strike a balance between respecting traditions and adapting them to modern values without labeling or generalizing groups of people?
You should really put a note saying that in this video you spoil the entire idea that Sinterklaas exists. I tried to watch it with the kids and then it starts saying that everything is fake… you should have thought about this!! In particular since you have kids and you know what an impact cand this have on children. Really disappointing
Oh no!!!!! That is terrible!! I’ve set it in the settings as NOT suitable for children and never considered that parents might watch this with their kids. My apologies for this!!
1. Your pronunciation is the worst, needed the subtitles to understand your ‘Dutch’. Makes me wonder if you even went to school in The Netherlands. 2. Your thoughts as a child about Zwarte Piet were correct. There is no hidden agenda to secretly spread racism. That is only what some adults, who didn’t grow up here, make of it to seek attention for themselves, all the while ruining a children’s festivity. 3. Anyone who has questions, please find out about Sinterklaas by asking any Dutch person, who actually grew up here, what it is all about. You will find it’s not racist and that everybody will tell you so, whether they have had an education or not. 4. I’m sure there are differences in gifts in other countries too. Do they think it’s unfair that Santa brings some kids more expensive gifts than others? Please, what a sad argument.
Less educated people... wtf. That makes no sense.
Not nearly everything Americans need to know, since this clip smacks of bias rooted in pure ignorance. You either respect our Dutch traditions and do the research or you keep your lack of understanding to yourself. The tradition of Zwarte Piet spans all of Europe and goes back thousands of years. There's a video on YT by a knowledgeable Dutch documentarist, titled "Slaaf of zondebok". You should watch it to further your education about foreign cultures. Would go some ways to knock those US blinders off your clueless face.
29-urige werkweek????
Mooie compacte samenvatting
Waardeloos & typisch Amerikaans filmpje.
Leuk!
If you are Dutch, then why is your pronunciation of Dutch words so horrible? it could have been a bit less negative, in my opinion
its an AI voice set to english pronounciation
