April 4, 2021-----Thanks for a great looking diorama. First thing that caught my eye was the short, stubby tree limbs on the trees. Other dioramas wouldn't show something like this. I like what you did with the tunnel and missile launch tube, though I'd be thinking the tube should show more of the flames, etc. effect with the missile being launched. There's a lady who did a Metro diorama with some STALKER figures like yours, with her using a large diameter pvc pipe, then running a set of tracks in front of the loading platform and into the the tunnel. As to the canvas covering on the GAZ jeep.....is that from a paper towel or toilet paper? Looks VERY realistic. Quit modeling about 20 years ago because of some stuff that happened and it wasn't fun any more. I started building in '74. Wondered if anyone was doing zombie/apocalypse dioramas about 2 years ago and was happily shocked to see so many on YT and Google. I was hooked and haven't looked back since. Started working on 2 dioramas and fiddling with a third when stuff happened again. However, getting my modeling desk cleaned off/organized and plan on starting on them again. Got a 8mm camcorder and don't know if I'll video tape them when completed, but will be taking photos of everything and post 'em on some websites when they're done. Bought A LOT of stuff 2 years ago and just recently ordered/got about 24 resin figures from Evilbay/China. There's another dozen or so I plan on also buying. While I'll be building dioramas with a dozen or so survivors dealing with zombies, also want to do vignettes. Like a survivor in the trunk of a car taking aim at a deer near by.

Diorama is amazing, a lil advice, the music should've been a bit ominous and lower toned, it would've made for a more realistic and cinematic viewing of ur masterpiece

Dec. 8, 2020----Forgot to ask.....did you make, buy or 3D print the shopping carts? I'm 67 and TRYING to learn CAD and it's NOT easy. Buying a 3D resin printer next year as there's a lot of things I want in my dioramas for better realism, but NOT scratch building 'em if possible. From various websites, I've got around 1,000 files to print, including 4 different shopping carts, plastic crates a bread delivery guy uses, etc. Any modelers out there using 3D printers? Only people I've seen doing this is the railroaders and RC people.

Oc. 8, 2020----Thanks for the video.....diorama looks great. 1/35th scale? Never thought you could build a grocery cart in that scale, but after seeing yours, I know it can be done and how. Was the "tile" on that one floor printed out? From Google, got different shapes/designs of tile, but also have some silicone molds from Hirst Arts fantasy set. One of them will allow me to cast small, thin and square pieces that are about 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch...big enough to use as paving stones in a yard. Cut a bunch of 'em up so they're smaller, then make a silicone mold of them so I can cast a bunch of 'em at one time. And recognize the couch...got one earlier this year from Ebay via China, along with a Lazyboy type chair. Also want to get into 3D printing and hope to buy a resin 3D printer in the next few months. From Thingiverse and other free 3D websites, have downloaded a couple of thousand files of every day things such as tables, chairs, mailboxes. etc.

Sept. 4, 2020----Thanks for showing off your diorama....looks great. My pc speakers went out on me, so no idea if you said anything during the video. Nice touch with the crowd barriers. Quit modeling a few years ago, but got back into it recently. But instead of aircraft/armor, going for 1/35th scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas.

July 23, 2020----Thanks for the video. Quit modeling 10-15 years ago because of some stuff happening in my life and suddenly modeling wasn't fun/enjoyable any more. But about 2 years ago, wondered if anyone was into zombie/apocalypse dioramas because of so many tv shows/movies. Boy, was I surprised what I found on TH-cam and Google. I was hooked. Started working on 2 dioramas about 2 years ago, then things happened again, so had to put my toys away. But now, yeah, I think I'm back. (remember that line from John Wick 1?) Since I started 2 years ago, found out there's a lot of kits NOT made and especially figures unless you go the route of resin which is NOT cheap. I'm buying a resin 3D printer in next few months and have literally downloaded thousands of figures and everyday things that I plan on printing. At 67, it ain't easy for this old dog to learn new tricks, but trying to learn how to draw 3D stuff and print later on. Two dioramas, one is The Fountain, the other Childhood Lost. The Fountain has a woman sitting on the edge of an empty city water fountain, with her dog laying a paw on one of her legs. The fountain was made by making several castings from a sour cream lid and then making it hollow, with 2 of the 3 pieces busting on me?! Then realized this added a bit more realism. The fountain is made from a plastic champagne glass and got several small metal angels from Ebay, with a larger/different one also. Childhood Lost is from a photo taken at an abandoned city park with those words painted on a slide. Made a swing, merry go round, jungle gym and a horsey ride....you know, an animal with a spring under it so kids could rock back and forth on. The man will be resting on the merry go round while a rabbit is being cooked on an open fire, with his dog looking up at him as in saying don't forget, I get a share too. Got about 4 dozen 1/32 & 1/36 modern diecast cars, trucks, atv's and some motorcycles as kits aren't available. Also working on modifying military figures so they become civilians. Hopefully I can make molds of the upper/lower torsos and legs to make resin copies of. And yes, taking pictures of everything I'm doing and hope to post them on TH-cam some day as a way of paying back those who have been doing these dioramas.
