This Turned Out Better Than I Though It Would (Elf Costume Part 3)
มุมมอง 1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I have always wanted to use wings in a costume piece and this fantasy elf costume seemed like a perfect time to try it. And I am so glad I did. I absolutely love the end results. I can’t wait to see the whole costume together, each piece I make is motivating me to continue, plus I finally have an event to wear the costume! :D Thanks for watching! See you next time! Sketching Armor... Kinda: Making My Own Elf Costume Part 1
มุมมอง 7283 ปีที่แล้ว
A new adventure, and a new video style. I hope you guys enjoyed it, I am still working on getting comfortable talking to the camera, but that’s what lots of takes and editing are for right? :) Anyway, this series is something I wanted to do when I made the first costume for the glaive, I just wasn't ready for it then and, well, the costume just didn't turn out either. So this second time around...
Fixing up 100 year old boots (Thrift Store Find)
มุมมอง 1.4K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Do you ever find yourself walking around a flea market or thrift store and just find something you cannot pass up? Well, that happened to us when molly saw a pair of beautiful boots and decided to try them on. And as chance would have it they fit! So with a successful amount of youtube bingeing shoe repair, I embark on a journey to try and fix them! Social links: Instagram: lorynt...

Making a Grandmaster Witcher 3 Gambeson : Geralt Cosplay Part 1
มุมมอง 15K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys! In this video, we wanted to show you how we made the gambeson for Geralt’s Master Crafted Ursine Armor from the Witcher 3. This one took us a while and we are really happy with the way the costume turned out. Stay tuned for even more Witcher 3 armor. Molly has to make the corset for Ciri’s costume and Brian has the rest of the chainmail leather and steel armor to make for this one. We...
Making Ciri's Corset from The Witcher 3: Part 1 (The Mockup)
มุมมอง 2.3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the process of making the mockup corset for my Ciri cosplay from the Witcher III. I started with a historical French corset pattern from 1902, and after seeing that it didn't fit me at all, I decided to use Cathy Hay's Corsetmaking Revolution to translate the pattern to something that would fit me much better. Once I had a working pattern I added all of the design details from Ciri's co...

Brigitte: Putting on the Costume

I realize this is an old video of y’all’s but it has been so helpful! I somehow stumbled upon one of these beauties in its singer cabinet (all for $20! Amazing!) at my local thrift store. It needs new wiring and I’ve spent the day googling and watching all the videos available on restorations of this specific model. Y’all’s is the first one I’ve found where I can see the motor taken apart for rewiring. So, so helpful.

it says in the original owners manual to apply Kerosene to the oiling points if the machine runs slowly after being stored for some time, then run the machine at high speed, wipe clean and reapply lubricating oil.... i also use kerosene to clean the chain and sprockets on my motorcycle because it works great for cutting greasy nasty grime and doesnt hurt most paint and finishes and the O-rings in the chain and such...

using fusion for this job is like using a glass of water to empty an Olympic pool... but sometimes people like to work 100 times more than they should instead of learning to use the proper tool for the job.

I have a nearly identical machine, but she is just a bit younger from 1948 this is super helpful for cleaning, I have had the machine serviced and minor repairs made when I first bought it from an auction house but I would love to be able to service and repair it myself if possible, so this video is giving me a great start.

I am not a sewing machine restorer but I would not venture to take all of this apart. You must have wide experience where all the parts go, buy a novice will have a box of screws. I would try to clean, wd40, and oil moving parts to the point that the machine is usable. Then, as time passes, try to service different small systems and get them back together correctly. It is ridiculous to take the whole thing apart.

    • @christopherjones7191
      @christopherjones7191 ปีที่แล้ว

@@sofiabezanilla9649depends on if you are just relying on this. But generally three layers is good for the bit of padding it gives, much more if it's all you are wearing.

When I cleaned out my grandmother’s 201 I think I scooped out about 1/4 cup of old grease from the little grease ports and around the worm gear and housing. It was quite gross but very satisfying to get her all clean.

Thank you so much for this video! Even the music is calming for those of us a bit anxious of this endeavor. I'm about to service the motor on my Great Aunts 201-2, so this with Rain's blog will be wonderful. I've also got a 15-88 in perfect working order whose Japaning has disintegrated and desperately needs painting, so this will be very helpful for that project also. Again, great video and thank you!
