grparent08 that is not always true its only bad if you have a foot behind the rope, having it on the side is not bad

One issue I had was the alignment of the leadscrew. It needs to be aligned vertically to get through the lead nut without binding. I had a lot of circular movement like you do in the video. Adjusting the stepper plate alignment at the top corrected the vertical alignment of the lead screw / nut. Smooth as silk now with minimal vibration. Still some work to be done but the Z axis is the most fussy part of this machine so far.

I think your nuts on the idler are wrong, they should be one on either side it looks like yours are both on top. I also used washers to get the rod running true

Send the threaded bolt through the delrun using a wrench, not the stepper motor. Once you have the two nuts secured (I used blue thread locker here) you can use them for leverage.

I have everything cranked down and the way I fixed this issue was to send the threaded bolt through the delrun about a dozen times from top to bottom. I also greased up the threads with a silicon lubricant. I haven't had an issue ever since. But I just received the Z-Axis Upgrade so I'll be changing that soon. Even cranked down I still see a little wobble on the motor, I've seen recommendations of using brass standoffs and I sure would love to modify the top plate to put in a fourth screw.

Yeah, that's true. But I like these charming old-fashioned folder style phones a lot. Today's smartphones are powerful and useful. But kinda boring, don't you think?

Congratulations on the Rite of Spring - NO ONE does it and if they do, they change the time and they stay away from the Danse Sacrale. I've never seen an International Drum Corps take this piece on. You rocked it guys. Bravo to your director. Seriously, I am very impressed.

i really think it was a well done arrangement for the time and instrumentation they had. certainly not "really awful."

This piece is a keyboard percussion and bass drum concerto in actuality.

I really have to give credit to the pit, keyboards especially. But the rest of the line really doesn't shine. Maybe it's just the selection.
