Most of the comedies are based on Japanese culture so there's gonna be a few stuff went over your head. Regardless, Gintama is a journey. It is slice of life, it is comedic & full of parodies, it is wholesome, it is totally random and crazy, and it is peak. Treat Gintama like a weekly sitcom, you know what I mean? Don't expect fights and stuff, just chill, sit back and enjoy the show. See what Gintama holds for you 👍🏻 Gintama has been my all-time fav anime ever and will always be, and Gintoki (MC) is the sickest, most badass, funniest, cutest, deepest, hottest and coolest character I have ever known. Greatest MC of all-time, no kidding. But you're only gonna appreciate these when you watch Gintama with open heart and just received whatever that was shown to you 😉 But seeing your reactions, Gintama might just be the one for you dude!

I would recommend you to also check episode 1 in the Dub as well to see which one you prefer to do while moving forward! Either Sub or Dub have their pros and cons. For example, Sub is the original language, but having to look down to read the text while episodes play can cause you to miss things happening on screen. Dub on the other hand is not the original language but allows to both see and hear what is being said, and thus allows for a better reaction without missing anything on screen because you were reading text! And luckily my hero academia actually has a good voice cast. At least check both out before you make your decision!

Who is your favorite My Hero Character?

Ooo, I absolutely adore Gintama! People have already explained to you what the deal is, so I'm just gonna say that it's so much fun! You watch it for the silly moments, and suddenly you care for all those silly characters. My favorite character is Gintoki, who is such a great MC. But I actually like and enjoy all the characters in Gintama. Something very rare for me. I hope you will react to the endings as well! Edit: I also just gotta say your commentary is so enjoyable!
