A couple of questions- a. I have a curved section ( radius approx 5m for a 1/4 of the circle circumference ) which I would like the front beam to follow. The old pergola Was built by several straight wooden 250 x 40mm beams constructed in an octagonal shape/style. It didn't look the best . Have you ever made a curved beam ? b. What is the distance between roof penetrations to support flyover beam for say a 100mm insulated roof and an area of 5m x 8m (length along roof )

Hey Scott Well done on the build so far. You have put a lot of thought into this Build. I like your idea of the cavity door this is a great space saver. Also like the idea of the double height powerpoints at the bed sides in the ensuite bedroom. I also like your idea to keep as much reticulation in the walls so as to have a clear finish outside the structure. Good thinking on the power distribution points. I like it a lot. Hope the plastering work goes well. Looking forward to the next phase. Cheers Al

Only buy Ozito tools if you think you will be using the tool for the one job, because that's about as long as they last. Second tip when you are grinding, don't allow the sparks from cutting to hit the new beams, like @ 3:13. The sparks are red hot bits of metal that burn the protective clear plastic and paint. A few years down the track these will turn into rust spots.

Is there actually a part 2 to this video? I can't seem to find it and our roof is very similar. Would be good to see the finished product on this one.

You don't have a video showing how this would be installed on an existing house with tin roof do you? I've been up in the ceiling and there is no way in h3ll I can get anywhere near the area this would be installed (no room)
