Thanks I had a lot of fun. I'll try and pop in once in a while but I'm usually playing and reviewing lots of different games so it's difficult to stay with one game too long. Pitfalls of being a reviewer I guess.

Yes, it was pretty broken on the PC version also, which is where this footage comes from. The last message from the dev was on the 29th May: Hello everyone, We want to let you know that we've heard your feedback and reported issues, and they've all been shared internally. We're currently working on a patch and will notify you as soon as it's released. They have a Discord channel: discord.gg/mergegames That is usually the best place to get news on updates. If you don't have Discord, let me know and I'll take a look.

@@IndieGems2 thanks for the Discord link, checking it out and seeing some Steam patches but no one is really mentioning the Switch version. Will keep watching.

Yes, a lot of the levels feel like they have been cleverly designed.

I played it on PC but it will look and feel the same on Switch no doubt. I played with a gamepad so should be very similar.

I don't really know too much about the origins of the LGBTQ community and when they adopted the rainbow as their symbol. I suppose rainbows are used in many ways as a sign of hope or beauty. For example, it is quite popular to envisage your beloved pet going over the rainbow bridge when they die. A rainbow is a thing of wonder in nature so many people have used it as symbols in some fashion I guess. This is probably the deepest discussion I've had on this channel 😂

I think they must have fixed the flock management issues then because I didn't see any problems when I played. I agree with you on some of the icons needing more explanation though. I had trouble working out which icon related to what skill.

Hi Vijuda. I'm sorry to hear that you were saddened by my review. I never want to upset anyone and I understand a negative review was not what you were looking for. I try to be as honest and helpful as I can with comments that will hopefully explain why I didn't enjoy the experience. As part of the review team we tend to pick games and genres that we think we will like, and therefore a lot of our reviews are positive. Unfortunately, I just found the progression system to be too frustrating and took up too much of my time trying to find races and getting into the action. I would be happy to revisit the game if this element of the game was improved though. I also only do game play videos now and do not mention what kind of review I gave it in the description, so hopefully the game play video can provide some exposure for you. Anyway, I hope that makes you feel a little better and I hope you enjoy the holidays. :)

@@IndieGems2 Thanks for responding, but precisely the progress system is part of the genre to which it pays tribute, the map, racing with specific cars and automobile culture are part of it, and that is why I am saddened that not everyone understands what it means. which seems frustrating to some, is precisely what many of us have been looking for for years, so I understand that the problem is with this specific subgenre of video games on which it is based, and not the video game itself. Changing the progression system would, of course, make some players happy, but it would annoy others who were looking for that experience. I understand that because of this, it is a niche game, and you either love it or hate it. But I simply wanted to express myself because, in my opinion, it is not a question of well done, poorly done or should improve, but of the genre itself. That's why I was sad because I didn't feel it was fair. Still, I respect all opinions, and I thank you for your response. Happy holidays to you too!

@@vijuda Yes I understand that the progression system is a very common aspect of this genre and I have no problem with that at all. I think I acknowledged that in the review. I actually enjoy mastering courses to get stars needed to progress, but what I didn't like and what ruined the experience for me is that you were given no help in finding the necessary car or track, and I was left hunting around the different menus trying to locate suitable cars for specific events. I don't remember ever having much trouble with this aspect in other games of the same ilk. If there was a way of improving this element it would have improved my experience a lot. That was all really. It wasn't a case of not liking the progression system but just the way it was implemented.

@@IndieGems2 Yes, on the screen of each event, at the bottom in the info section it says: Press Y on the gamepad or SPACE on the keyboard for more information, that way you can see a list of suggested cars for each event, as well as the leaderboards. That is to say, there is a way to explicitly see which cars are suitable for the race, but I understand that perhaps this function has gone unnoticed.

I have 51 Clubhouse games too. I really like 51 Clubhouse games but there are only 7-8 games that I play and enjoy. This Ultimate Solitaire collection does everything better for solitaire games than the 51 Clubhouse games does. Both are worth owning and they only overlap with like two games!
