These products are not really meant to work like that. They work at the molecular level in fresh concrete to slow down the hydration process. spraying it on the concrete surface might cause discoloration and uneven set times.

None of these products come in an 18-ounce bag. Supercizer 1, Supercizer 5, & Supercizer 2 come in 1.5-pound bags, and Supercizer 7 comes in 2.5-pound bags. Our Supercizer PCE comes packaged in a 1-pound bag. And . . we sell them by the case, not individual bags. Supercizers 1 & 5 come in cases of 24 bags. Supercizer 2 comes in a case of 20 bags, and Supercizer 7 comes in a case of 19 8 bags. Supercizer PCE comes in a case of 30 bags. The average cost per bag for any of our superplasticizers is only $12.

Thanks for reaching out. One case of Supercizer 2 is $175 and includes 20 bags. The recommended dosage is one bag per every cubic yard. So the additional cost of using Supercizer 2 is roughly $8.75 per cubic yard.

Great question. Anecdotally, if you were plugging up 5 times a week before using Slick-Pak, it should go down to less than once a month when using Slick-Pak. We would be happy to send you a free case of Slick-Pak for you to test on your equipment.

It may seem that way, but we actually developed NCA as a result of the problems we saw calcium chloride causing in concrete. We are committed to making products that make concrete better.

Nah mate calcium chloride is detrimental to steel and should stop being used everywhere.

Thanks for the comment. It could also be that you're not using the right Slick-Pak product. For bigger jobs or longer hoses, we recommend Slick-Pak II, which is formulated for higher viscosity.

Our recommendation would be to batch the concrete with just 3-4 hours of delayed set initially ignoring the slump, and then introduce the superplasticizer at the 3-hour mark to gain the necessary 150 mm. Trying to maintain a high slump for such a long period of time is usually unnecessary and extremely costly.

Slick-Pak has no negative impact on the quality or strength of concrete. It simply improves pumpability without changing the water-cement ratio. So your concrete should be fine regardless of the application.

It depends on the product you are using and the mix design, but generally speaking, in a full truckload of concrete, 1 bag of our superplasticizer will increase the slump by 1 inch. So if you are at a 4 inch, and you want to go to a 6 inch, you’ll add two bags to a full truck. And it is proportional, so if it was half a truck, you would add just 1 bag to go from a 4 to a 6.

Thanks for reaching out. Once you have primed the pump & started pumping, you can continuously pump as much concrete as you need. If you have to stop pumping for more than 20 minutes, you will then need to reprime the pump with another bag of slick-Pak before you start pumping again.

@@fritzpak4821 can u explain how to mix up the product for ideal use... i had same problem priming boom. Slick pack sucked up all the cream in Concrete mix and I had a dry pack!! I prime with water and have no problem ever, priming a 63m

Ya this is what I experienced as well while priming out a line pump. Like 200’ of 2.5” system. When priming a boom it seems to work well.

@@rcppop3090 It never worked for me line pumping, 2.5 inch rubber, would plug almost instantly in the first 50 ft. Water always worked up to 250ft. Works really good with my boom though. Must be the metal pipes, not sure.
