Do Toyo R/T Trail Tires Suck in the MUD?
มุมมอง 8Kปีที่แล้ว
An update video of the Toyo RT Trail tires. 5,100 miles total. 4,000 miles of those were with a trailer hooked up. Tires are fitted on F350 SRW. Tire size is 295/70R18. Tires are smooth and quiet. Performance on dry pavement, rain, and even mud have been great. The tire has a good looking appearance with aggressive sidewall but rides comfortable and quiet. I hope they get the 45K miles guarante...

Doug? Doug?! Oh not Doug.
Doug for POTUS 2028?
Dougs Jeep kicks ass! Glas to see his axles getting some use!
You Doug Right!
In all likelihood the tire installer damaged that valve stem. It is tricky installing tires with TPM sensors.
Makes sense. They had to transfer the TPS sensors from the factory 20" wheels to the 18's that are on it now. It's crazy it held for a few days and several hundred miles before it let go. Never a dull moment...
Are these nosey on the highway?
Not as nosey as my neighbors. I'm happy with the lack of road noise!
Noisy
Mine have a light hum, but it's barely noticeable.
Agreed
Plan on going there this fall
I'm going on 30,000 miles with my Toyo Trails. I overland some of the most remote places in Oregon and have all the confidence in the world with these tires. Highly recommended.
Glad to hear they're holding up! Still happy with mine as well.
Hows your experience with them in the snow?
@@ericmorales7857 Off road in the snow, I'll give them a A-. On road in the snow, I give them a B-. Hope this helps!
Was wondering how good these are, i have 37x12.50r18 toyo r/t on my 2019 f250 with a lift and i really like my toyos. There great on everything except rain, there a little slippery and get worse as they wear down with mileage, but i have probably about 45k on them right now and still look like i can get another 15k or 20k out of them. But im thinking of going with these r/t trails when i do. Just need more real reviews of them with someone using them on a truck like mine.
Still happy with mine. The RT Trails look to be a slightly less aggressive tread pattern than the RT.
💋 *Promosm*
I was there last year and plan on returning again this year. Narly park.
Nice! I've enjoyed all the Oklahoma wheeling I've done.
We were just there the 18th. I like Clayton.
Agreed. It’s a property that doesn’t have all the amenities of other parks, but the trails never disappoint.
Agreed , I would take that over fluffy cabins any day .
I hit 50k with my old Toyo R/T m’s on 2011 ram 2500
Very nice. Glad to hear they went past the 45k the manufacturer guarantees. Hope mine get there.
FUKKN BRUTEL. Love the Purple 4 Wheel steer Machine. Wonderful group of guy's.
The Texas rocks never disappoint.
These guys are the best helped me get my diesel pusher un stuck ifrom the sand parking lot sunk to the axles . Thanks again Trail Hero 2023
Glad we could help!
Its a PITA but if you lower the PSI in the back when your empty you'll see a more even wear across the tire. Of course if your towing frequently it's unreasonalbe to deflate and inflate often. Depending on your actual load you may be overinflated towing the inside of the tire is much more worn than the outside. I'd roate every 3000 if your gonna run that much PSI all the time in the back and doing a chalk test might help you find a more resonable PSI. The PSI rating on the door jam is for a fully loaded truck on stock tires. I have 17k on my tires and they look like your fronts with more wear, but I dont tow a lot and always adjust my pressures, probably waisting my time but oh well. lol
Good advice. I tow regularly and it would be a pain to go up/down with the pressures between loaded and unloaded driving. The best thing to maximize life would be regular rotations, IMO. Thanks!
I have a set too, and I truly love them. I’ve been in deep snow, mud heavy rain, standing water and out in the backcountry on dirt roads with my tires. And I found my new set of heavy duty all-terrain tires. People have asked me how long they last in my answer to that is. Tires don’t last long on a heavy duty truck, especially when you’re pulling. Performance durability, outweigh, how long a tire will last in my opinion. And it’s hard to find a tire that will last a long time and be very good on an off-road.
Bro… Love your content ❤ and really appreciate what you are doing. BTW. let me know, if you need an editor for your YT videos. As, I am a professional video editor and would like to contribute to your channel.
?
Appreciate the offer but I find enjoyment stumbling through the editing process. Glad you could tell it is un-professional. Thanks for watching!
Your editing is good, but as an editor myself, I see a lot of room for improvements and what it takes to get viral. Anyways keep up the good work!!

How are you liking them? I know its only been 2 months from this review but im really curious on the tread life. Would love to hear more frrom you
Glad you asked! New video with an update. Do Toyo R/T Trail Tires Suck in the MUD? th-cam.com/video/OgtJGbUNfbs/w-d-xo.html
Awesome video
Thanks!
I’ve been looking for this video everywhere thanks
No problem. Thanks!
I got them on my truck a few months ago and I really do like them. I’ve been in snow, mud, heavy rain, standing water, soft dirt, and I think these tires have done extremely well with zero hydroplane. Also, they handle very well on dry pavement and wet pavement. I do think these are my new permanent tires on my truck. And they handle very well. Pulling my 14,000 pound toy holler.
And I really like how they do not retain rocks in the tread blocks. And they are very quiet tire for how aggressive they are. And, like I said, for the type of tread design they have, and how aggressive they are they handle very well on dry and wet pavement. Personally, I honestly think they handle just as well if not better than an all-terrain tire on the road.
All really good points. I tow a toy hauler with my setup as well. No complaints. Agree that these are as quiet as an AT. Hopefully they stay that way as they wear. Glad to hear about some snow performance. They aren’t 3 peak rated but assume they will be OK in my area with just occasional snow. Thanks for the comment.
I pull a 5th Wheel Montana that weighs about 13,000 pounds with a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Custom. Do you recommend these for safe travel in the rain? @@RustRockRash
I’ve been through plenty of rain in TN, AR, and MS with them. No complaints.
P r o m o S M
Finally good seeing this tire on a truck pretty much the same as mine. Been hesitant on them but I think I like them
I like them better than the Nitto Ridge Grapplers that they replaced. 45K mileage warranty on these as well.
@@RustRockRash sounds good. Ordered mine Monday
I've got a set going on the 250 Tremor later this week, looking forward to it.
Nice!
thanks for sharing. Will be switching to these on my next set for my Ram 2500. Running MT's now (only because these weren't in stock). Got probably another 10k-ish left on the MT's for a total of about 30k.
30K was about all I got out of my Toyo MT’s. I hope these hit the 45K they’re advertised for.
Your only issue is throttle control. Once you figure that out come back to Utah and try again.
Thanks for the advice. When in doubt, throttle out!

Awesome video! Looks like some good times were certainly had.
Never a dull moment at Wolf Caves.
Where are you wheeling in the video? I know K2/wolf caves but I don’t know the other. 👍
Some of the footage was taken on Boulder Canyon, Patriot Trail, and Carnage Canyon in Colorado. Thanks for watching!

Man I wish I could of made it!
Which one of youse was Doug?
Doug doesn’t have axles. Come on, man!
@@RustRockRash Oops, my bad!! :)
Glad Doug finally got his jeep finished!
Good to see that Doug's axles are actually seeing some miles these days
hmmmm i hope doug found his axles, has anyone linked him the vid??
Thank fuck this comment section didn't just end up being about Torq ass reaming Doug on his axle order. Phew! :flipoff2:
Oh, and nicely done, TX_Jeep. Rig looks awesome!
Another awesome build 👍
May the Doug be with you.
TORQ yeah!
I'll bet Doug would excited if Torque delivered his axles or the $16.5k he paid for them
Dougs axles are finally found
Boy, people are sure Irate over Dougs axles, I wonder what the deal was with that? Oh that's right he paid Torq $16.5k for axles he never received.
Oh and nice looking buggy
Official Statement: I cannot confirm or deny that these are Doug’s axles. May the TORQ be with you.
Smart move. You Doug yourself out of that one
At least you're being a good sport about it
IRATE4X4 brought me here! BTW; are those Doug's axles?
See pinned post for response.
You dug up Doug's axles?
Dang, Doug's axles sure look amazing under that pile.
