I think you are approaching life in a restrictive manner. You can learn, you should obviously work on improving yourself. But that shouldn't be your sole priority. What's the point of all this improvement? Just to be the best? That's dumb. The point of improvement is to be able to get to a point to enjoy life. Why do you feel like you should only focus on improving yourself?

This is such a self-defeating mindset. People ask what others do for a living because it's the one thing everyone can relate with another in this capitalist system, they have to work. Work does not define you. You define yourself. If you view work as the most important thing in life, work will obviously be the priority. But you can also view other things as more important. My girlfriend is truly the most important thing in my life. She makes me happy, we laugh together, we struggle together. I have her to rely on and she has me to rely on, and together we'll take on this world. Work will come and go. Employers will fire you without a second thought if they can't pay your wages anymore. Work is a way to make money, a means to an end. This doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy your work. You should do something you like, but it doesn't define you. My life is defined only by a fraction of my work, my life is defined by the connections I have with others and the enjoyment I get out of doing things I like in life. I enjoy my hobbies, I enjoy experiencing them with others. Life isn't meant to be a cog in the system, life is what you make of it. You say work will make you happy. Are you truly happy? People don't find happiness in their work by being a janitor and focusing solely on being a janitor. It isn't the work makes them happy, mopping floors all day. It's the connections they make with others as part of the job. Janitors in schools sometimes love their job cause they can have a positive impact on the kids, see their smiles.

Some people quite simply barely sweat. I will sweat if I half arse it dehydrated. The amout you sweat is by no means an accurate litmus test. And rest days are absolutely necessary for some forms of training, plus some people only have the time for two or four days a week.

Or maybe you can focus on yourself and let other people do their thing. (I've never been even close to a gym in my entire 27 years of existence)
