Wow Rheims, went there and shot a little film with Stirling Moss, in R F’s C type, which Stirling had raced at Rheims. Must have been amazing in its day, it’s great they kept all the old buildings.

What a great video. How ghostly the deserted track is. How fun to drive that angry GT40 down that long staight, past the ghosts of races past. Interesting fact on the origin of presenting champagne to the winners. Wonderful camera and editing work. And dang! you look good going fast! Lot's of fun, this video.

Seems Ford was the underdog. maybe they were. But if we look at the facts Ford was a monumental bully to Ferrari and then again to their own employee Ken Miles who could have won them the year 65 as well.

In GT40 speak, the 5 liter engine isn't really "ginormous". Try the one with the 427 and see.

This feels like something out of Top Gear.

I’ve driven a superperformance continuation. It’s brutal, sensitive, demanding, and addictive. I’m 5’11 and it felt just the right size. If you have something in your pants pocket before you get in the car you’d better get it out before sitting in it. The seats are so tight it’s impossible to get anything out of your pockets.
