a lot of mistakes in the technique. Don't be so embarrassed. You don't have any knowledge.
Yum 😊
Bar Vegan has an amazing sweet potato sushi. And don't forget Healthy on Lark if you're looking for a more healthful menu. You may want to consider a trip to Ithaca in the Finger Lakes Region, probably best appreciated over the summer.
If that happens when you run the trick is to lift your arm up in the air while you are running. It looks funny but it works. My coach taught me that in middle school when I was in cross country.
Awesome place I've always wanted to go to the mansion I seent it on Google maps
Best Reuben in upstate NY is at Subculture Vegan on Lark St. in Albany. No contest!
Idk the hollow in Albany also has a great one….
@@gabsmall Yes, that's because they use the vegan pastrami made by the guys who own Subculture Vegan!
Garden Cafe is the best!
Thank you
Cuy-as guyahoga please get pronunciations correct.
The next town east of Hudson is Ghent. In 1974 a person saw frequently in this town was one John Lennon. The owner of Roulette records had a farm house in Ghent, and Lennon used it for his Rock N' Roll album rehearsals. I live in the northwestern corner of Connecticut, but I drove semi trucks for years and one of the places I frequently traveled was upstate NY. Looking for cool towns? Any along the southern tier by Pennsylvania have a rich history, but Plattsburgh was the home of a huge Air Force base and has a nice vibe. Across the river from Burlington Vermont, another cool vibey city.
My aunt lives on that block
Awesome!
you missed the Butler Institute of Art.....stunning small museum.
I’ll make this w/o chickpeas b/c I only like them as hummus :) Maybe I’ll put hummus???
@@MrsHMB410 or you could add a different type of bean that you prefer. I think lentils or kidney beans would be really good in it
You should check out Orange County. Warwick and Goshen are really nice. Lots of awesome hikes with beautiful views of Greenwood lake along teh Appalachain Trail.
Scraping your knife like that will dull it immediately. Turn the knife over- use the top(back) of the blade, to scrape . You’re welcome
Last one out, shut off the lights.
We love our National Park! Believe it or not there are many people in this region who have not idea we have a National Park within 30 minutes of both Cleveland and Akron. So even to people in NE Ohio it’s a hidden gem. 😂 Tons of history from ancient native peoples to the beginnings of the industrial revolution. And the tow path was where mules walked while pulling canal boats between Cleveland and the Ohio River. You can still see the canal adjacent to the path and remnants of the locks used to raise and lower the boats are still there too. Glad you found the Cuyahoga Valley! (Kye-uh-hohga)
Ok Gab Small - I've watched several of your travel vids of Oh - they're cute & a 'lil fun, but you're not doing these areas justice - do some homework for a better YT travel channel - here's some help: Yes Ytown isn't an amazing tourist mecca like Vegas, Orlando, NYC & LA, but it's cities like Ytown, Cle, Pit, Buff, that literally built all those flashy glam cities - this was a booming steel city that helped win wars & built the modern world - at its peak, this region (Pit, Ytown, Cle) was the 2nd largest steel maker in the world - 90% of that went overseas - Ytown's transitioning into more tech now w/ Intel chips, 3D printing, & batteries - the area is blue collar, football, & tough - half million call the metro home - Yes, it can be boring, but it's a solid place to raise a fam -
totally agree. Ohio rocks. People need to remember 25,000 ppl. lost their jobs in the steel mills in ONE day in 1980. Ytown is coming back and it's a great place to live.
@@JeffBrown-pb5qr Yup - I remember that day very well - at middle school half the kids showed up looking scared cuz their dads just lost their jobs. Amusing how these young millennials/gen z get their driver's license, go somewhere random wanting likes & YT checks w/o learning anything about the places they're seeing - hoping for a career in it - I learned nothing watching her vids -
Maybe mention that park system is one of the largest & most visited in the U.S. because it's surrounded by Cleveland's metro area of 3.6 million ppl would be nice - not "in the middle of nowhere"😄
It will only be harmful if you eat a lot and I mean like 40 grams in one meal but if you just eat some bread that has 5 grams of added sugar it won’t do anything to you
Fake
This is an Indian dish. Very tasty, nutritious and completely vegan.
Buffalo & Rochester aren't considered 'Upstate New York', they are located in Western New York , and Syracuse is located in Central New York. "Upstate NY' is a moniker (more often inaccurately employed than not) but specifically delineated as the territory North of Albany extending up Interstate 87 all the way to Plattsburgh/Champlain, NY (the Canadian border) then heading West to Messina, NY (St. Lawrence River) and then all the way back South down to Pulaski, NY (basically encompassing the entirety of the Adirondack/Tug Hill Plateau Region). Anything along 90 (The Thruway) including Utica, Rome, Oswego, Fulton & Mexico, NY isn't considered "Upstate". Utica & Rome, NY is considered Central New York too but is alternatively considered part of the Mohawk Valley or the "Leather-stocking Region". Oswego, Fulton & Mexico, NY is also considered Central New York (part of the metro-Syracuse area). Please be geographically accurate next time you talk about my home State, maybe take a little time to learn all the nuanced regions and all they have to offer, it might assist in preventing future careless misnomering errors. Seems as if perhaps your disdain for & haste to leave as a youngin' might have contributed to a lack of knowledge about New York State? Signed, Former New Yorker....Cheers!
Sounds great and very doable!!! Will definitely make. Thank u!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
For the cook time you said a couple of hours, but on high or low?
Oh I’ve got to try this! Rarely do I see crockpot recipes that don’t contain meat
yummmm
Whenever you don't feel like cooking, come dinner at my place...
You missed The cascades that has a natural pool at the bottom in mill creek park, but even some locals I've talked to didn't even know it existed. Imo it's way more impressive then Lanterman's Mills Falls. Monday is 100% a dead day there. The city looks big compared to It's population that's why it looks like a ghost town. It's built for 200k but has way below 100k.
There's so much more to see. Next time make sure you have time to actually run around. You'll have a great time. Have a lot of museums and the zoo - i love it. Come back any time ❤
That looks like your average Costco food that most American restaurants serve….
Have a happy new year Gab Small
Honestly… coconut flakes on top? And pistachios in the middle?? Yummm
Saving this recipe. These look absolutely delicious!
@@Rhodi__ not joking when I say I make them multiple times per week! Aldi has the best juiciest dates
We need more openness and conversation when it comes to having meals with others. I hate how it's like gift culture. Be quiet and lie etc. It's a base need so there should be mutual understanding.
Its an interesting dish, would you please break it down a little bit for me? 🙏
Oatmeal with chia seeds, flax seeds, cinnamon, turmeric, lentils, peanut butter and berries :)
Unfortunately one of the buildings downtown blew up and had to be destroyed and the downtown had to be deserted for a few months. It isn't always a lively place especially on a Monday but sometimes there are festivals and concerts in the downtown area that drive foot traffic.
I would view it as very disrespectful if someone brought their own meal to my house if I was planning on cooking them a meal and I think a lot of other people would agree
Proof that God used lemons too!
i mean… the occasional meal at a friend’s house shouldn’t throw you off this much. i’m a very healthy eater but i know the occasional indulgence won’t kill me. also, some people’s standards of healthy food might be different. i believe salt in moderation and butter are nutritious for us, and im on a more animal-based diet because i believe animal foods are incredibly beneficial, so im the opposite. not shaming your diet at all, but this is kinda strange lol
I have lived in Youngstown for about 20 years. It isn't my first choice of a great place to live, but I guess at this point it is home. The parks are great. I had my wedding at the gazebo in Fellows Riverside Gardens. White House Fruit Farm is one of my favorite local businesses. They are known for their donuts. Handel's ice cream originated here which is also very good. We have the Canfield fair every year and that's about it.
"As I left downtown I only saw 2 miles of blight in every direction, saw only three streetwalkers on Market Street, and was only shot at two times. Not bad!"
Nice video! Noticed you passed through neighboring West Rutland. If you do this again, hit the nature trail/boardwalk in the West Rutland Marsh. Sounds weird, but it is SO worth it for the nature/scenery.
you can’t cheat on a meal? wow
@@BardBadgerI have a friend who is vegan and I love to eat all kinds of stuff that isn't vegan friendly. Though I would never go "can't you cheat just this once?" just to pressure her into enjoying the foods I like. To her it isn't just a diet, but what works well for her health wise. Cheating for you is not the same kind of cheating for other people
This may be an unpopular opinion of mine, but for the people who are saying she is rude to bring a dish.... please get over yourself 🤔. Some people have very specific needs/wants and its easier to bring something you know fs you can eat without burdening the other person. Nobody should be forced to eat anything they dont want to just for the sake of your feelings. If you feel so disrespected by someone not eating/liking your food then maybe you shouldn't be cooking for people? Not everyone is going to like what you like. And its crazy for people to automatically assume this woman has an eating disorder off of one short. Ig we love to diagnose randoms on the Internet despite having little to no physiological education or background on the person.
Dont talk bad about Butter girl!
Ritual tequila and use it with ginger beer and lime… feels like a real tequila mule
Gonna have to try this!
You’re in Youngstown and don’t stop at an Italian place to eat? Poor choice of restaurant
Help I'm vegetarian 😭😭😭 everytime I go to someone's house I bring my own food
that’s different! ❤
