I understand when you say your more easier to find in a room when your name is called out. Where ever hubby and I go and we need to leave a name to be called out he always gives my name because there are many more Bobs in a room (his name, very popular here) then Pearls. 😁😁

Late to the party, but my personal take on the calendar: This was the first time I've done something like this, and I had a great time overall, so no regrets at all. I think the patterns are all very nice - I am a big fan of TL Yarn Crafts and have been making tons of Toni's designs lately, both Tunisian and ordinary crochet. That being said, I am not sure I'll buy next year's calendar. Great to do onnce and I loved opening the surprises, but once might have been enough, especially if next year's calendar is not made by one of my absolute favourite crochet designers. Week by week: Week 1: The hat is the best. I love both the style and the yarn and I've been wearing it all of December. Only downside: it's stretched quite a bit, so now it's a bit too large for my tiny head. Week 2: Love the pattern and the yarn, but not sure when I'll have the patience to actually make this... Week 3: I would never have chosen this colour and I still wish it wasnt pink, but I think it's turning out very nicely. First pink item I will actually wear. Annoyingly I lost yarn chicken about a third through the border. Now, that's probably my fault, I didn't do a gauge swatch. But now I need to order one more donut of a colour I don't like that much... Week 4: I am about 2/3 through and still really dislike the colours. Really unsure what I'll do with this bag, it's absolutely not my style. Ah well, they can't all be winners.

Great to hear you chatting about names etc. Yes, in my teenage years I just wanted to drop the "n" & be Kerry.... anything for being invisible when I was a kid in the classroom. So, it's funny that my career ended up being a Junior Primary teacher. Once my own children were all at school, I became an SSO working with children with disabilities & did a bit of relief teaching with Junior Primary classes too. I loved vide this but too short for me, I do understand you have a life, however. I chatted along with you while I made a granny square bandana. My name is Gina and that feels like a huge part of me and my identity. I love that it is unusual as it makes me feel very special. My dad chose my names as the birth mother was useless and left. He wanted to call me Sophia after Sophia Lauren but he picked me up the day I was born and looked into my eyes and said I would have a lot more fun as a Gina, I didn''t look like a Sophia. I love that so much, my dad always treated me like an amazing gift. I feel like my name is an amazing gift and I don't answer to short versions because that isn't me. My hubby's nickname for me is Wiffle, so I use that a lot as well. I just remembered that my dad called me Squeedge a lot as I am a great hugger. It is short for Squeedgy Anna Lollabrigida. Lol. I loved that.

I am with you Litsa, I did say near the end of 2024 that I didn't need to buy any more yarn in 2025. Well not before the Bendigo Wool show, however. Because I said no yarn, I "accidentally " made several online yarn purchases (technically ordered 2024 and arriving in 2025).

Hi Litsa. I hope you add some more of these chit-chat type of videos, I really enjoyed this one. I have also been divorced twice, and each time I changed my name back to my maiden name. My son had his dad’s last name and I didn’t. That was okay with me. My daughter also has her dad’s last name, which is different than her brother’s and of course mine. My kitty, Emily Spring, has my last name because I wasn’t married to her dad! lol 😅😅🐈‍⬛

My daughter can never find anything with her name spelled correctly. Alicia is how everyone here spells her name. I spelled it Aleisha. I really enjoyed this video. My daughter-in-law uses a hyphenated sir name. Her full name is Radawnda Lynn Garlinger-Myers. We were also advised here that due to bullying and things like that to consider what our children initials were going to be before naming our babies

What a nice visit. I am working on my mosaic throw. My mom’s side of the family were into using the name Margaret. I am number four of five females with that name. Shortened names were used up, so I go by my middle name. BTW, Litsa is a beautiful name. I would love to have a name that is unusual or less common. Here’s to a relaxing week!

Hi dear Litsa, knitting some rolled fingerless gloves while we hang out. It's funny you talked about names, my husband and I lived on an island in the Torres strait where the beautiful local people usually have anywhere from 2 - 4 names, their island names are usually to hard for us on the mainland and also for taxes, so they give themselves more common names. I actually named our little Schnauzer Sumai after a beautiful lady and my best friend who passed away but her more common name to us was Maryanne. I'm like you I don't ban myself, I do limit what I buy though, if there is some pretty yarn and I'm pretty certain I can use it for something beautiful I will buy it. 😊 It's so lovely to sit and spend time with you dear friend. Hi Litsa thanks for your company while I had ironed 2 pairs jeans 3 pairs of shirts and eight t shirts lol all my husbands. Names omg no one can ever spell my name and all my neices and nephews call me Aunty Rae which I like and our sons name is Matthew we have never called him Matt but his wife does and other people. I have really enjoyed your video, and your company. I am working on a Granny square. I am going to make a big blanket. I love my name, I was named after my mom's best friend daughter she had twin daughters, and my mom was closer to Judith and that's how I got my name. Alot of people can't say my name. It's 24 here. So a big blanket making is a great idea. Your blanket is very beautiful. I love it.

Happy 2025 Litsa! You and I have very similar goals! Hopefully we get through a lot of our stash this year 🤞 I use Davinci Resolve to edit my videos but it has a bit of a learning curve & I still have no clue how to use most of the features on there😅

That sounds great, Litsa, & very pretty colours! In 2023 I crocheted a temperature blanket for my grandson's birth year of 2016. I gave it to him on his birthday in 2024. For all of the family's male birthdays I added a very fine metallic thread to the yarn colour for that day's temperature. For the female's birthdays I added a very fine gold thread to the yarn colour for that day's temperature. Then for my grandson & his mother & father's birthdays I also added a metallic royal blue thread to the yarn colour for the day to bond them together. It ended up beautiful with a slight sparkle in the light for all of the family birthdays! I hope you enjoy crocheting it as much as I enjoyed crocheting mine for my beloved grandson! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
