When Vance and George Michael got going, it was priceless. I loved when Michael would feature “wrastlin’ “ just to poke at Vance.

I'm from NYC, but I spent a lot of time in the DC area throughout my life. Always thought we had the best of everything. I still do. But NOBODY on NYC local TV news was better than My Man Vance. That's a fact.

Jim was Han Some ! I would have enjoyed getting a foot long & a Big Gulp from him any day...🥒😮

I'm only just now learning of Jim's death nearly four years ago, as I watch Channel 4 news openings from when I lived in the DC area (1989-96) and had the pleasure of watching him deliver the local news on so many evenings. A legend left us that day in 2017, but thanks to film and video he can stay with us forever. Thanks for sharing this, even as painful as it is to hear that distinctive voice rendered so raspy by his illness and age in this video.
