iForm Slot--RPO! i LOVE that RPO dood!

oh it's a HECKUVA offensive scheme dood. i believe it's been updated in the playbooks too with new plays. but you're right about bunch te and y off...EXCELLENT formations too! my personal favorite remains the bunch str offset. but THIS one has that killer RPO and y off and bunch are AMAZING too. nice to have options!!!

@@kgoatgaming4004thanks for your insights. I'm struggling to find a formation I want to stick to and master. My strength is running the ball. But, I know I know...running is dead. My weakness is switching up plays on offense. I get predictable with route combos. I prefer open space stock (1 adjustment) different reads options. With that being said what two formations would you recommend I can stay in without all that auditing?

@@Christiangamer84 dood, i STILL say the bunch str offset is just a GO TO!!! definitely my favorite! the normal y off is taking m25 by storm and the bunch te is back. but for me? i like bunch str offset and tight offset TE as my two favorites! and there are several tight sets that you can utilize, not just the tight offset te! hope that helps brother!

dood, that's a tough question and that's the reason for the drills. everyone does it differently. some people work best focusing on the pocket and looking at the routes peripherally. others glance back. personally, i'm more of a glance back at the pocket type of guy. but running that drill repeatedly will really help with figuring out. just trust in your mind and eyes to do the work. but GOTTA do that drill to figure it out. just keep doing it OVER and OVER and OVER brother! trust me, if you do, you'll see your own natural patterns! good luck my friend!

yeah, and keep in mind bro, i'm "dumbing down" my user in most of these plays on purpose, intentionally bailing out, etc. (i'm sure you can tell). but it's still the same basic movements, just done a little better when i'm actually DOING it for real instead of making intentional mistakes. now, i WILL make mistakes for SURE...especially when you don't know what play is coming (play action--ergh...sometimes i'll BITE and get caught on a lineman!). but with the user, feathering really is important. i switch up between the two middle linebackers in db fire...so sometimes the opponent won't realize i'm on a dood that's feathering (because it LOOKS like it's a CPU controlled player) and then just as he starts to wind up, i'll DART toward the "open" receiver and get a pick.

thanks man!! and you summed it up dood! 100% can't play consistently solid without knowing this stuff! and i agree...some of it IS gatekeeping (on offense too)...especially prior to a tournament. it's funny how AFTER a big tournament, THEN you'll see people breaking down offenses and defenses in more detail!

Its should have been a curl flat out there to stop the flat that you had set to 5

haha, the CURL flats were set to 25 and the hard flats were set to 5. i SET it to a curl flat which SHOULD have played to FIVE. it can get confusing but i set it up the correct way. had i set it to a HARD flat, THEN it should have played to 25. but manning up that guy on that side somehow overruled my hard'-coded curl/cloud/flat settings and reverted them back. but i DID set it up correctly michinegunkelly! CURL flat SHOULD have played at 5 (i.e. hard flat). but it did NOT! it happens ALL THE TIME in this game. hard flats (even on default settings) will out of the blue play back to 25 or even 30 yards sometimes. the zones WONK OUT brother!

dreg, i hearya. it's HARD to find people breaking this stuff down. if you DID find someone, that's cool. my guess is they're a smaller channel. and the pro's DO gatekeep sometimes dood. again, it's not necessarily always to "keep secrets"...although SOMEtimes they want you to pay for their services to get DEEP details (but even THEN, they just give the play settings/adjustments without fully explaining). but MOST of the time, it's because the game is just WONKY and it would take WAY TOO LONG to explain ALL the details. ZAN does a good job of breaking down coverages...but again, it's HARD to find. it is up to US to figure that stuff out for ourselves...which is kinda the point of the video in the end. you're TOTALLY right...ya gotta go in and LAB THIS STUFF YOURSELF if you wanna truly understand. great comment man!!

Also, I was blown away that the 30 yard drop vs the 25 yard drop is crazy too. They clearly make the players intentionally stupid. I always figured I could just set my clouds/hards to 25 and I would be set. Now I see that those 5 yards make a world of difference.

dood, you ain't kidding! this game is SO ridiculous! even the fact that ONE PERSON would be able to make a video like this and REPLICATE all of the idiocy SHOULD be enough to motivate EA to actually FIX THE GAME!!!!! but...THIS is what we were given this year. I hope this kind of video helps people to understand that they have to have INTIMATE familiarity with how zones play (or DON'T play is probably more accurate). and when you tinker on one side...HOW THE HECK does it cause the zones on that side to go all funky? makes NO sense but...labbing this stuff in practice mode DOES help...it's tedious but it DOES help to understand that what you "think" you're setting isn't what is actually going to happen on the field. that's why i almost ALWAYS would recommend, if you man ANYONE up, to man everyone else up on that same side and just do hyrbrid--one side cover 2 man and the other side zone. thanks for the compliment bro! it really does mean the world to me that these videos are actually useful!

haha, it's FUN doing this stuff. and to be honest, sometimes i DO miss tackles (especially this year). it actually IS difficult NOT to dive which can be a real death sentence in madden 25. i'll also throw picks against the CPU getting overconfident and lackadaisical. these practice sessions really DO help break bad habits man. that one that i simulated where i kept peeling off of the INT on that deep dig? that is one at the beginning of the year i would do ALL THE TIME! madden 25's mechanics are SO awful. in madden 24, EACH of those would have been picks. so i figured i'd show you guys an area that caused me SERIOUS grief with M25! thanks as always for the support dood!!!

brother, i'm SUPER non-techy with my videos. i just record on playstation, narrate through my controller and use...wait for it...WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER to splice out pauses or annoying transitions. comes out decently though!

oh brother, i haven't played ONE competitive game this year. i just refuse! i can't STAND madden 25 this year. but if i WAS going to play, i'd be running dollar/dime 3-2 and 4-3 even 6-1 for defense and bunch str offset for offense! pkilla, i just did an entire "cheat code" video and THAT is exactly how i would play this year. you'll win the VAST majority of your games if you stick to that plan my friend!

have to use your joystick to do it. i used to cycle through every player back in madden 16 and then figured out how to just use the joystick. i think (hard to remember) that you just hold the B on xbox or the circle on playstation and flick your stick in the direction of the player you want to switch to then just let up on the B/circle button and you're good to go. takes a little bit of practice but you'll get it down bro! hope that helps!

bro, i hearya. when i was playing competitively, i had SO many bad habits. that dropping back thing was the TOUGHEST for me. and the "gunslinger" stuff too! i literally had to DRILL it out of me. i wondered back then, IF i didn't have those "idiocies", just how much BETTER i'd have been! congrats on top 125 bro! that's awesome!!!

oh dood, that means SO MUCH to me! i'm so glad. yeah, that game really IS terrible...sadly. but just going through the drills really helps to minimize that stuff. it's sad we have to "adjust" for the poor programming. routes that are NOT open...in m25 we can throw them. and routes that SHOULD be open? NOPE! when my HARD flats drop back to 30 yards even when i have them coded to drop to 0 or 5? just ridiculous! keep plugging brother and you're gonna be DOMINATING even more! i'll live vicariously through YOU and YOUR success!! go get'em machine gun kelly!!!!

That’s exactly how I look at too u I remember times I’ll practice but it wasn’t structured like his I work on simple stuff like doing moves throwing against different coverages and shit it’s literally just habits

didn't see this comment (if i missed any, sorry dood!). 100% bro! it really helps to train your eyes to see ALL the routes while still being aware of the pocket. it's the ONLY way i was able to break those bad habits i had!!

haha, yeah, it was tough to keep a straight face/voice in the video. but even though these drills SEEM boring, they really DO work and when i do them, i kind of talk to myself like that...like i'm a newbie! they work bro! they really do!
