Great video. Not a snap-on fan boy style just a great backyard mechanic.
Thanks man! I appreciate the positive feedback
did switching the valve fix your problem or did it end up being something else?
Yes, that was part of the problem. So the valve was faulty, which was sending an incorrect reading about the refrigerant pressure. Once I replaced it, when i checked the pressure of the refrigerant, it was high. So I had drain some of it. Once I got the pressure within the correct range, the a/c worked just fine.
The incorrect reading was that when measured, the refrigerant was showing within the correct range but it was high. And that's why the a/c was not working properly. High pressure will make your compressor act irregular. Once the valve was replaced and the pressure corrected, the compressor ran good and the a/c worked like it should
Thank you so much! ❤
You are welcome
I think it's best to get a torquing wrench for sparkplugs so that you don't over torque them and have trouble to get them out.
That can work too.
Really helpful, thank you
Did you have to pump it down or is there a check valve.
What do you mean by pump it down?
does that t-50 bolt come out at all? i can get it loose and off the seat, but not off of the buckle
I'm not sure. The replacement I purchased came with one, so I did not bother in trying to get it off
Thank you for this!
You are welcome! Happy to know the video help you!
You don't have to remove the belt completely, just from the alternator.
Excelente vídeo! Muchas Gracias.
hey thanks for the video. I am going to attempt this. can you list the tools you used?
10mm socket 14mm socket 9/16" wrench Ratchet wrench Extension for ratchet wrench
@@diocuevas1792 Thank you. is your GS an AWD or RWD? i have AWD, i am wondering if the set up is different for the two.
Great way to show how to do this!
I'm glad the video was helpful to you!
was this the awd model everyone on forums are saying that the awd model is more difficult
This Lexus does have a sport mode and a snow mode. Therefore, I'm not 100% sure if it's considered an awd.
It was probably your plugs.. should have replaced those as well... thanks for the video
I did not replace my plugs, and the car has been running just fine since then. I do belive that the code you get for the plugs is different. Thanks for watching
good job
Great video, helped alot, that rear nut is hard work, I'm 6 foot 6 and my hands are big, lots of scraps 😂
It was hard for me to get it too. And I'm much smaller than you 😅
Ok ?
your video saved us, that sneeky nut on the rear of the alternator
Yeah, that's an interesting design. I'm glad the video was useful.
thanks guy... is it okay for battery still be connected
Yeah, that's fine
Appreciate the video! This helped me quickly replace the driver's side buckle on my 2012 !
I'm glad it helped.
Great job man. Thank you
Thanks! You are welcome!
Thank you. I'm having similar troubles. Also my AC compressor heavy vibration. I'm looking into that too. Thank you again, appreciate the help
You are welcome! I'm glad the video did help you! It's good to know.
Ac compression heavy vibrations speaks to me right now lol. When i switch my ac ON, it makes my car weak like acceleration is affected
THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO!!!!!
You are welcome
Thanks bro !
You are welcome!
Thanks for your video, Our Camaro is doing the same thing.
You are welcome. I hope it helps
Will this be same for a 2012?
I would suspect so. Normally not much changes from one year to the next.
Thank you kind sir. You explained everything great. 👍👍👍👍
Hey bro what if it just blow hot but not cold u think that’s the switch or the ac module ? What is it
Check your freon pressure first. Make sure is not low or out.
So my driver's side buckle got damaged and now I got to replace it.
That's awesome!
GM Part Number?
I'm afraid I didn't look that up. I just went to the local part store in my town and got one.
What if the clutch never engages what’s wrong then?
Well, it could be several things. Check the fuse for the clutch, check the pressure of the a/c lines and, also, check the pressure that I replaced on this video.
Wait you didn’t explain the timing of the spark plugs unless it doesn’t have one
I have never heard of a timing on the spark plugs. Sorry
My car 2012 camaro blows cold sometimes then when I drive it blows warm air do you think this will fix it?
Before replacing the switch, check the pressure in your lines. Simply connect a line with a gauge as if you were going to add more freeon. Because it will do what you are saying when the pressure is not correct. It could be low or high. If it is correct, then replace the switch as shown on the video
@@diocuevas1792 ok brother appreciate it I’ll do all those things then let u know if it works 😎
@@TheRealPoPorter yo bro did you fix it?
@@alejandrohaquin1486I changed the switch the air improved drastically but I think my blend door is stuck on the drivers side so I gotta get that fixed
I have the same car, At Advanced Autoparts the platinum platinum AutoLite sparkplug, $4.99 ea
Thanks for the info. Will keep it in mind next time I need to buy some.
Thank you. Now I know how to change my plugs.
You are welcome!
i change that but idk how come the radiator fan still running after i turn off my car
You are low on coolant! When the fans stay on for a few minutes after you turn off the car, it means the coolant level is low. Fill it up and it shouldn't do that anymore.
Whats the part number of the belt buckle?
I don't recall the part number. I bought it on eBay. I put all the info on the car and them I just looked closely at the pictures of the one I was going to buy to make sure it looked the same.
Another video I watched said you should disconnect the battery for a minimum of 1 hour before disconnecting and reconnecting the cable. So I investigated that further and found out that there is a very slight chance of deploying the airbag in the SRS. It isn't such a big deal to disconnect the battery, just be sure you move the seat forward to access the bolts first. The battery is under the spare tire.
Thank you so much for the info
Hay bro thay make a 5/8 spark plug socket with a magnet built In I have 1
Thanks for the info.
Does it work?
Yes, it did work
What was the spark plug part number?
I'm not sure. But just give your car info to the parts store and they will look them up for you.
41-108 is the oe spark plug for this engine.
Está muy bueno el video gracias me ayudo bastante pensé que cambiar mis bujías de mi equinox era más difícil Gracias...

What is the gap measurement on spark plugs for 2011 Chevrolet Equinox LT 2.4l?
I don't know what it is, but just buy them pre set and you should be good to go.
@@diocuevas1792 thanks
Is it 8 or 16 spark plugs on the 4.7 v8
8
What if the coil won't come out easy?
Is it the nut not coming off? Or the coil itself?
@@diocuevas1792 well, now half of the coil is busted off into the sprak plug chamber so I don't know what to do. About one centimeter of the coil is protruding from the block and it still won't budge. Pretty screwed at the moment
@@diocuevas1792 the nut came off fine. The coil itself just broke in half when I attempted to pry it out.
I have never had that problem before. What I would do is to try to some how remove the rest of the coil from the spark plug so that you can replace it. Then you can buy a new coil and replace it as well.
Needed this so bad. My Chevy just spazzed out. Thank you so much! Subscribed!
