Thanks a lot sir, they are just building airports àll over whereas their road networks are horrible and poverty is playing its best role, instead of investing in roads, railways and agriculture, international airport that is not even as fine as mma2, Nigeria should learn to construct massive standard infrastructure for the future
Another elephant project in a small state. I hope they scale up their agricultural production to be of benefit. Good job governor!
Agro-allied airports long overdue...let massive agricultural production begins
Why are state governments building "international" airports in these small towns??? Bayelsa, Ekiti, Ebonyi and the likes don't need airports just now!!! Who is flying in? Who is flying out of these airports??? Good money wasted abeg!!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!!
As you may have noticed, the focus is on cargo, even though other commercial flights would also be able to access the airport. For them to focus on cargo movement, it means they must have done some feasibility studies in that regards. I doubt if you have any data on their findings to arrive at such conclusion.
@ Forget data, let's just use common sense! Airlines are profit oriented, especially private owned ones! As we have no national carrier, it falls on these private operators to provide the services! But most of them are concerned with flying international routes! Who is transporting what to Ekiti, Bayelsa or Ebonyi??? And from where??? Bayelsa perhaps,to some small degree, but neither of these states are viable economic hubs as they have no huge industries that would demand regular traffic into their airports!! Instead these states should link up with the federal government to build more rails and highways to connect our cities! Ebonyi airport is already lying fallow, a waste of solid money 💰! Bayelsa might fair only slightly better because it is an oil hub, but no profit is being accrued at this time! But don't expect jumbo jets flying in from Europe and North America anytime soon! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
Welcome development, we need more airport in Nigeria and lets flights prices drop
Sorry but i disagree! This is nothing but a pointless wasteful airport project! Who is flying in and out from Ekiti???(this goes for Bayelsa, and Ebonyi too)!! Who is going to waste jet fuel flying planes into these sorry-to-say backwater cities?? How would airlines make profit? Indeed how would the state government pay the airport staff? Unless passengers can be flying directly from London Heathrow, JFK and Charles De Gaulle and all such international airports on a daily basis, there is just no need for these white elephant infrastructures! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
Waste of money
Explain
I concur!!!👍🏾 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
Thanks a lot for sharing. I'm watching this video from the United States. Lots of progress in this and other similar projects currently going on in Lagos state. It's clear to me that this government means business. Lagos state is definitely in the game of changing the negative narratives about Nigeria. And while Lagos is undoubtedly setting the pace it's equally comforting to know that other states are not too far behind and tagging along in infrastructure development. Nigeria is currently on fire in infrastructure development all over the federation. And if this pace is maintained, Nigeria will become Africa's best kept secret and the pride of the black race. I'm loving it!
Thank you, Tosin, kindly confirm or make video on when Lagos state govt LASG will be constructing the Redline train route going to Murtala Mahomed Airport,Ikeja.
I think that’s the 3rd phase. They’re looking to connect the redline to the national theatre first i believe, although they may do both connections at the same time
@ Redline will be extended from Oyingbo to Marina to meet with the Blueline. There is already a Blueline station at National theatres.
@@jay51200 they changed it from marina to national theatre. They will probably build a new interchange at national theatre
Theyve abandoned this project since last year no visible work progress there
Finally. I can't be talking about tourism and the mainland looking like omg
This land seems space o for 12,000 capacity seaters😊
It is a small land for Lagos Arena, where them wan pack motor plus People? Is for 1000 people alone? With Nigeria population the place no be am self.
100 years una go wait. Stupid Arena. U dey show us empty land na so u show us Eko Atlantic, up till now still a dry land with scanty houses
Your papa fit buy the cheapest apartment in Eko Atlantic City??? Your comments stem from hatred and jealousy towards Lagos.
Madam, I love lagos. And my dream is 4 lagos to be like Cape Town. But we had high hopes for Eko Atlantic to compete with Dubia etc. But it's still scanty. Lagos Arena was launch a year ago. But still green land. No be lie I talk na.
lagos state goverments should just collect this project and build a befitting 20k Arena that can rival O2.LAGOS is now a global city considering what happened in the last detty december
Dude, I don't see anything here. Why are you showing us an empty site like this and wasting our time? You have nothing better to do with your own time in content creation?
This is NOT a Lagos State Government project but it is being done by a consortium led by the Persianas Group, and the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).
That man is known as a scammer and liar this project is not gonna take any effect soon the man is not building anything he’s just making money from people
What man?
Another jealous African..😂😂
@@sean-et4wr Another deceived boy.
Knowing lagos, this project will be carried out. This was what we said about the port, refinery, rice mills etc.
@@taharka3897Please help me ask him again please.
That community directly opposite this road is a goner 😂😂😂 Buyers beware. Only time....😂😂😂😂😂😂
The solution to dirtiness is building a mall like close roof market with separate vegetables and food section, Lagos still Lack modern market ....like Dubai mall, Modernize texi in Lagos and cancel those Danfo, Established urban and environment management system that not just clean the road but provide day and night supervision and street to street garbage tanks
Apart from the island most parts of lagos is a ghetto.Thank God all the people going to lagos for detty december don't get to see the real lagos.😅 lt feels like the government is only focus on cleaning the island, everywhere else looking like a dump does not bother them one bit.Thank you.
The Lagos state government needs to sanction the whole of from orile down to badagry axis, there dirtiness is top-notch
Lucky I agree with you on this governor sanwo olu needs to deal with people dirtying the city
The Lagos state is trying, but is becoming the dirtiest city in Africa and in the world. What makes a beautiful city is its cleanliness.
It is an exaggeration to claim that Lagos is on the verge of becoming Africa's dirtiest city, especially given that people who lack environmental sanitation are wreaking havoc on the city's ecosystem. Take Eko Atlantic City, for example. If the same people who are making the city appear shabby are in Eko Atlantic, the city will be an eye-sore in no time.
❤
Infrastructure is an uncountable noun, meaning it has no plural. Call it infrastructure, not infrastructures
You guys view development in terms of "infrastructure" projects. In advanced economies, Presidents, Governors, Premiers are evaluated by the range and extent of economic opportunities and quality employments their policies created. Nigeria is facing extreme lack of economic opportunities, hunger, crime and chaos. Nigeria needs EXPORT industries that will generate FOREIGN EXCHANGE revenue for the country, and generate substantial employments through the development and industrialization of Nigeria's diverse natural resources. Real development comes from economic development of citizens. Economic development of citizens comes from gainful employment. Every where I turn, Nigerians are celebrating some kind of INFRASTRUCTURE. Infrastructure contracts is the method the ruling class legitimately ships scarce funds abroad. You never hear any of these people talk about Jobs. Real, sustainable jobs, quality jobs that end economic hardship.
Did you just say lagos has 51 million inhabitants? No way lagos state is upto that,at most 25 million or less, not more than that.Nice one by the athourities, they should maintain infrastructures regularly. Thank you.
He said 21million actually but honestly it is almost 30million.
21 million!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
This is commendable and lovely
God bless you Sen. Dave umahi

Great job
Thank you so much
Thanks for the update Owa Tosin! I hope they are able to complete it this year. Kudos to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for this legacy project!
Thank you so much sir 🙏
Can i get a train ride from lagos to abuja or do i have to get to ibadan first?
There is no direct train from lagos to abuja and the is no train from ibadan to abuja. We only have three federal train routes in the country. 1. Lagos to ibadan route. 2. Delta state ( warri) to kogi state ( Ajaokuta) 3. Kaduna to abuja Those are the available routes at the moment sir.
Is that babajide otitoju you are talking with
Nigerians always looking for reduction every time. Train travel is one of the best way to travel. The train needs to come every 1 or 2 hours and faster.
@@oluwaseunaderibigbe2465 the funny thing is the trains are not being used to their full capacity yet in terms of speed. They are designed for 150-160km per hour but they are still traveling at 60 - 90km per hour for safety reasons because like someone in the comments said, old habits die hard and people are used to walking and sitting on the tracks, they even vandalize barricades put in place to keep them away from the track. A two hours journey to Ibadan can be achieved especially once the talgo (which has top speed of 330km) has being transferred to NRC by LAG government to ply that corridor
@@emmanuelogundipe3328Very correct. I was surprised that Lagos - ABK- IB city took 2 hrs. That journey should only be 1 hr max
Mr poster, that train ride is cheaper enough..Lets stop all this nonsense of everything must be cheap in Nigeria.. A SGR line is not cheap in the west o...36 is just less than $2....Inter state rail covering 3 states at 3k is cheap enough ,dont destroy Nigeria...That price have only increased marginally aince it started opertion in 2020..the first price then was 2500 for a trip for standard class....ans the price have been stable relatively compared to how your useless poor religuous Nigerian that dont have mercy upon their fellow Nigeriana ns have trippled or quadriple the price of transport since subsidy removal....We need to sustain what we have...
Oga the train is cheap for 3k to buy those locomotive is expensive hundred liter of diesel can take you on two trips
Reduce the price? Nigerians are wholly unconcerned with sustainability. It's give me more for less and nothing else. The train has low patronage because old habits die hard.
Talking about reducing the price. You all forget that money is not just being used to refuel but to maintain train engines as well. In Nigeria the way we compare things is unrealistic. Taking a bus and taking the train might be the same price but not the same experience. The Lagos Ibadan express is notorious for long hours of traffic. Asking for fare reduction is as if we don't want to pay for anything. You all should probably travel out and compare the cost of train rides to that of Nigeria. The rail infrastructure is an expensive one. You can't build it and then sit back. You need to kee improving it, get more trains, maintain engines, pay staffs and even expand the rail corridor. I get irritated when people talk about reduction. It's a welcome idea but do you know that the entire rail service can shut down due to loss? The service depends on income to keep operating or you expect the government to fund the construction and then continue to set aside funds to maintain the rail after construction? If patronage is as low as you claim this service would have shut down but it's four years and it's still active which means the pricing is actually regulated to sustain the system and prevent loss. I personally believe that the low patronage is because the trains are only doing four trips per day. There are some of us who would want to travel mid day but the train doesn't move then. Another reason is that people do not know about the service yet, this is still a surprise to me because whenever I say I'm traveling to Ibadan via train some people are like "Trains are dangerous because people sit on it" and all that, they are referring to the old trains they don't know about the new trains. Pricing is not the issue, it's the number of trips. I can't go to Ibadàn for a 4pm meeting and be rushing to get on the 8am train. I'd rather go by road around 12pm.
You said more than everything I would have love to say. How can a modern train with high cost be cheaper than rickety busses without comfort and guaranteed security. Train fair is 3k while rickety bus is #4.500. We have choices in how we travel. How does governments maintain infrastructure if Everything is subsidized. Even investor wouldn't consider such economic environment.
you are spot on jare, also what about the staff , who will pay them a decent wage/salary when people want to pay pittance for a world class service
cool
Well done good job
What do you mean by '400 passengers daily'?
Develop Warri not Lagos that is sinking and full of filty Ghettos everywhere 😂😂
Great! I have been expecting this to happen not just in rail transportation but in all other areas of economic development, including power and energy supplies, highways, ports, aviation, food distribution hubs, etc. This can be accomplished by pulling resources together. This is the beginning of regional development. With time this rail service will extend to other Odua states in which case it would become interstate, not just municipal.
