Tying on Cat Whiskers
มุมมอง 59K13 ปีที่แล้ว
Are your bowstring cat whiskers bulky, drooping, sliding around, or you're just not happy with the way they look and perform? Give this little tutorial a try and make some pretty slick looking cat whiskers that perform well and hopefully will get you that quiet shot we all need in bowhunting.
Paper and Bareshaft Tuning
มุมมอง 44K13 ปีที่แล้ว
Want your broadheads to hit the same place as your field points? Try paper tuning and bare shaft tuning to attain the best possible arrow flight.
Thanks. This is the best one.Showing details.
How did. You make the stretcher
Great information brother!!!
Thanks
Muy buena tu explicación. En pocos días la voy a poner en práctica.
Best cat whisker installation video out there. If you use different color whiskers when doubling, e.g. 1 green 1 brown, it adds an aesthetic look to it. Mahalo, Brah.
That is pure nockpoint magic. Best solution! Thank you!
Great video bud!
Extremely well done. Clear and precise. Thanks
Thank you!
You have some great videos. I’m visiting the big island for the first time and randomly came across them. Very insightful and very well done. I like that this one you were not “successful”. Steve Rinella is the only other person I’ve seen do this, which is great because it shows hunting is not only about the kill. If you ever want to hunt Utah let me know. I’m always down to connect with another great sportsman. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Davidjbowen@yahoo.com
Brilliant. Thank you
🤙🏽
That was very helpful thanks. Can I ask, on a recurve why not tie them in the string instead of on. I understand that on allows you to move them. Thanks
This is an excellent video, explained very well, I like his professional presentation, all tools are right there, keeps it simple, explains the benefits of a proper knot. Great Job.
I used it now. First version failed as I made mistake with burning the end. Second version is stable. It’s actually quite easy and I like also the clear look on the string. Thanks a lot for the video.
Took a bit practice. But finally it works very well. Like the easy to adjust position of the nock using this knot. Thanks a lot. Somewhere ... over the rainbow ... was singing that while learning ;-)
From the view of a knot freak, this is one of the most perfect idea to tie a nock. I put this on my nodes as "The Rainbow Nock Point" in German: "Der Regenbogennockpunktbegrenzerstek" :-) It's a great combination of two tie technics.
Is confusing?
Nice, keep up the good work man and the great content! Hope to hunt with you someday.
super helpful!
Yes, it works..... Thx for Posting.... Greetings from Germany...
by far the cleanest neatest most adjustable way Ive seen it done yet!! great video thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing this.
I have watched this video 20 times, and I still cant figure out what he does at the 5:00 mark. Very, very frustrating.
This video is the best!! Plus its full on Island Style. Simply killer job, stoked i found this.
Just got my first bow and didn't know where to set my nocking point, I tried this and it made it easier to zero in the position. Thanks heaps!
I dont like this nock coz u have a bulge on one side. Not a elegant solution at all. Nock point as in Merlin Archery video is more elegant and uniform. Anyway its nice to know more in archery so u have thumb up from me :)
I like the knot bulge. It gives me something to get torque to adjust the nock when tied tightly. Still adjustable, yet will not move on its own.
:-) most helpful !
A great way to have a nocking point you can adjust easily. I find I don't get such sore fingers as I did with the sharp edge you have on brass nocks. Very useful, thank you.
What happened to all your other videos? You had great content and I was really looking forward to the second part of the Cutthroat broadhead review.
Thank you sir
Good shooting guys. Great video! Subed you.
Great video. And good shooting.

I tried 6-7 types of tying nocks and this is best method for me. Very good presentation.
what spine arrows and what draw weight are you shooting out of your recurve ? I want to get a good start bare shaft tuning my 55#@28 with my draw length being 28". I was thinking 2016 alluminums? Much wisdom appreciated Thanks !
Excellent shooting for the lady. Great video
The double nock points are mentioned in a FITA manual somewhere. BTW this is an excellent video...very detailed.
Super helpful, went through a couple of cat whiskers while trying to figure out how to tie them on properly. This will make short work of the task.
Thanks man! I've been messing around with yarn silencers which have to be stuffed through the separated string strands and is a bit of a pain. This is a much easier and tidier way to go ( once you get the knots down). Great job!

Someone play Gta in the background :P
thanks mate - great demo
Really helpful advise
Helluva lot better than what 3Rivers suggests.
Dude, thank you!!
very helpful info
Very informative.......great information and presented well!
Great vid,to bad it was so windy or she would have cut arrows in half :-)
The time spent with your Dad was all that was really important. Cool video and better luck next time.
Very good!
