It is well known that the American Olympic Committee allowed American athletes who tested positive for performance enhancing drugs (PED's) to compete in the 1988 Olympics. Carl Lewis and Florence Griffith Joyner were among them. Even American Olympic doctors complained of this unfairness in International Olympic Competitions! Moreover, the US drug testers were dishonest in their drug testing reports! It is shameful and disgraceful that the IOC still accepts the world records of Olympic athletes who took performance enhancing drugs to set their Olympic world records! In 1989 serious drug testing of Olympic athletes was undertaken. A line should be drawn between world records established before 1989, and those records set after stricter drug testing of Olympic athletes began in 1989. The athletes of today should not have to compete with world records set by athletes who used performance enhancing drugs in the past to set their world records!!! Where is the integrity, fairness, and honesty of the IOC???

Many people forget that Bol only started on the hurdles in 2019 (!) while mcLaughlin started on the hurdles in 2016. That is a massive difference. Nevertheless Bol got a bronze medal in Tokio in 2021, with only 2 (!) years of experience. That is completely ridiculous... Furthermore, McLaughlin won that final with a then World Record of 51.46, which she ran 5 years after starting on the hurdles in 2016. However in 2023 Bol ran a 51.45 in London, which would have won gold in Tokyo, and she did this only 4 years after starting on the hurdles. In other words: McLaughlin and Bol are on quite similar development curves (and if anything Bol seems to be developing a bit faster), but Bol started 3 years later in time. What the current status is is completely unclear, Bol has continued to make strong progress over the last 1.5 year, while McLaughlin has more or less disappeared... And nobody knows what she is going to do...

I think that for Sidney is more: Who the fuck is Bol? That people in internet is talking about so much... 😂😂😂

I love Bol. Its a shame trying to put her has a simple internet champion, she deserves more... Sidney has almost 1 second more than Bol, has beat the world record four times in a year, she gave a new standard in the distance twice (first above 52, second above 51) what we are comparing on? What she did at Kentucky and Worlds in Oregon was amazing because she had worked way more and her seasons were far longer than all else running those individuals and relays against and with her, fact. For whatever reason you Euro's think Bol has become God. Maybe Bol and McLaughlin will run against each other in Paris, but I believe McLaughlin will run the open 400m and possibly not the 400m H. It is possible they will only meet in the 4x400m Relay, but if the USA has their 4 best women and both teams don't get DQ'd in the preliminary rounds, the USA will be so far ahead of the Netherlands when the anchor leg is run that it will not be a race. I would add most people wait until their athlete beats all the other athletes before they start bragging, but you Euro's act like Bol has destroyed McLaughlin, but in every race they have run together, McLaughlin has destroyed Bol.
