Good video mate. Unfortunate you didn’t get one but looked like a good trip with your brother nonetheless. Was down South Island last month, out from Queenstown. I feel your pain. Was solo pack hunting for chamois over two days and nothing. Lugging around a 30kg pack in the gnarliest country I’ve ever seen. Leave’s the high country for dead 😂 Went back to town for a day to reenergise and then went back out for a day trip and managed to drop the hammer on one. 24k underfoot for that day 😂 Keep up the good content 👍

Mate at lest you stuck it out the full week and didn't give up hope. It's not uncommon to get redrawn. I was in p1 blond bay and struggled too. I struck it out, so my conscience can rest easy haha.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I hunted period 5 this year and was thankfully lucky enough to tag a stag. Similar to your Period, 6 out of the 8 tagged out with stags with one of the hunters tagging out both. For our Period, Cow Swamp saw the most active. I hunted Rifle Range for the first 2 days and saw zero activity then day 3 changed to Big Hole, which paid off. Best of luck to getting drawn again.

They were all tripping over themselves for the swamp and hole. I had the whole west island to myself and bagged hind iin 4 hours. Its hard work in 32 degree heat.
