Decon with rinseless?
มุมมอง 5903 ปีที่แล้ว
I asked Yvan Lacroix about how to do a chemical decon (iron remover) if working with a rinseless wash. He provided a detailed answer, and this is my attempt at putting it to practice. Thank you, Yvan. Check out Yvan's channel for more tips and tricks! th-cam.com/channels/iAirridYXEt5iQIZ4K9RmA.html
Meguiars White Wax Pt 2 - DA Power System!
มุมมอง 2.3K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This round, the Meg's DA Power System is used. *Note: The results were not what I expected, BUT, it's not to say the DA Power System is bad. See my other video (Scratched Up 4Runner) to see what it's capable of.

Polishing results of EVO IX (short clip)
มุมมอง 1296 ปีที่แล้ว
Posting this for fwh79. Thanks for subscribing! This EVO was polished back in May of 2016. fwh79 wanted to see the end results. Unfortunately, I have hundreds of pics, but only two short video clips. I thought I had more. The owner still has the car and wants another light polish completed. Maybe I'll film it then Thanks for watching.
HD Metal Polish - 1967 VW Bug chrome bumper
มุมมอง 6796 ปีที่แล้ว
Using HD Metal to remove light surface rust and lightly polish the bumper. Owner thought they would need to replace it, but they chose to keep it when I was done with it. Note: this was a re-upload from my other channel. original video was uploaded in 2015.
Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finsh Paint Prorection topped with Midnight Sun

Water behavior. Blackfire WDAFPP (now known as Paint Sealant) and one layer of BF Midnight Sun paste wax. One month after they were applied.
Blackfire Paint Cleaner 2 months later
มุมมอง 5566 ปีที่แล้ว
I was doing a product review for a detailing forum. This was a 50/50 panel. The left side was treated to Blackfire's Paint Cleaner (non-abrasive polish, cleaner, and glaze product) and a polishing pad. The side on the right, nothing. No wax, sealant, or coating applied over either side. This video was done two months later, to show how it's holding up. Thanks for watching.
Ultima Acrylic Spray Wax
มุมมอง 3K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Was given a bottle of this before it hit the market. This was the water behavior at different intervals, up to 6 weeks. NOTE: There was an error toward the end. It said it is high pressure soap, but the editing was a bit off. The wrong video clip was used here. Sorry about that

Excellent value for a great tool!
I think so too. Great for touch ups, or if you take your time doing a whole car. Otherwise, too small to do whole car!
Could you please tell the setting you used on the drill much appreciated🙌
High speed (drill has option of 1 and 2, 2 being high). Variable trigger speed helps keep revs low to spread product, and then full blast for polishing. thanks for watching
No IPA WIPE necessary either, before you apply the coating, according to what I hear?
Correct. Wiped off. After I was done, I go around and coat. The last one I did has gone a year, no issues reported
One main reason I like this. No IPA wipe
They say, a little goes a long way?
It does.
I’m going to try this product, then apply Adams graphene? Let me know how it wipes off? I heard it leaves a haze, but that’s normal? You could coat right over the hazing.
I forget which one haze's a bit. @mikeg would know better as he has better memory. Haha. Wipe off is easy. Use little product and polish. I may have used a tad much for this small section I did
@@BB_Detailing_00 live and learn, right? I love the product.👍
@@Ochtane101 yes!
is that the sce or the xfe?
It is the XCE (gear driven)
@@BB_Detailing_00 i got the same thing
@@FaizanSubhani you love yours as much as I do?
@@BB_Detailing_00 mostly!! But i do use other polishers as well. But this and my rotary are the favorites
@@FaizanSubhani Definitely. I have several polishers, for various uses or moods
Yeahhhhh budddddyyyyyy!
Nice. Glad to hear you like it. Did you get a chance to use this combination on your friends SUV?
I got it from watching your channel! This video was the precursor to using it on that SUV, actually. Wanted to make sure it played nice with the UK3.0 coating i intended on using. So yes, i did get a chance to use the combo. Looks good, too
Just to note, I was outside doing this. Sun was coming out from behind some clouds. Indoors, it may be better as a clay lube
The Poorboys coating is incredible. Far slicker than anything I've ever applied before & unlike most won't loose its performance if maintenance is neglected. It's massively underrated
As of now, it's still the slickest i've tried. I totally agree, massively underrated coating! I've given out a couple so people can experience the joy!
One thing about clay mitts and towels, they will get grabby if there isn't plenty of lubrication. How did you like using this process?
plenty of lubrication is essential. For this level of contamination, i liked it. For more severe contamination, i'd feel better doing a more regular decon/wash
Nice job
Thanks!
What size are the pads?
I think they're listed as 3" pads by Meguiar's
@@BB_Detailing_00 thanks!
You're welcome. Also, look into 3" pads from Griot's Garage (BOSS pads) if you want thinner, or Lake Country Force Pads if you want the thicker style.
Very nice!
Thanks!
I know this is an older video, however, I was just wondering if this is still a decent product to purchase? I saw it on Autogeek for like $15 a bottle and that users of Klasse AIO and Klasse Sealant Glaze recommend using this product on top of those for weekly maintenance and also a drying aide over the top of the Acrylic sealant. Also recommended that I use the Acrylic Waterless Wash product for rinseless washing. Just wanted to know if anyone has had good results with this product? I also got recommendations for the SONUS Acrylic Spray Wax which may be the exact same product since it is manufactured by the same parent company?
I've been impressed with the Ultima products I've used. Haven't tried their Acrylic Waterless Wash, though. - Is this still a decent product? YES. I had a chance to compare it to other spray waxes, about 6 total, and the Ultima is one of my favored ones. Durability is quite decent for a spray wax. - As far as Sonus, I can't say as I haven't tried their products.. But I got the impression they are made by the same company.
Nice tutorial and thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Nice
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video! To add to this, do this process to the whole car before « rinsing ». That way you don’t contaminate your wash water with Iron remover.
Oh for sure. Only did that here for the purpose of the video! Thanks, Yvan
Is there gonna be iron remover left on the car when drying it and do you rinse the sponge with an hose before putting it back in the bucket?
@@peasant4107 Good question! If we're not using a hose to rinse, what would be the way to do it? I suppose maybe a second bucket with rinse water? hmmm (I haven't done it since this video)
If we don't have access to a hose how would you recommend us to do this?
@@hernan2838 I found a thread on auto geek of Mike Phillips doing a waterless wash + iron remover. Basically you just need a lot of towels and to heavily saturate with the waterless when removing. If you choose to go clay towel + iron remover…1) go one panel at a time, wash with choice of wash media 2) spray iron X into clay towel and apply to surface or if hot maybe 1/4-1/2 a panel 3) pull a damp rinseless towel out of wash bucket or second smaller bucket of rinseless solution. Don’t ring it out too much like a normal wash. Since the iron remover should have foamed some in this application, scoop them foam into the towel as best you can using the wet towel to also flush the surface letting them solution run down. Flip towel and continue to wipe panel 4) use a hose or pressure washer to rinse any tight spots or cracks 5) dry and move on
Slacker. Get back to work lol. I guess the question is does doing this remove iron just as much as letting the iron remover dwell for a few minutes
LOL - this was all of ten minutes of my one hour lunch break! Still managed to make my lunch and eat, while watching a bit of Netflix. #netflixdoesntpayme - But I suspect not letting it dwell, you're not going to get maximum benefit of the iron remover. And less "concentrated" this way. Still, not bad, though.
After agitating with the clay towel, you allow the Iron Remover to dwell as you do the rest of the car. Rinse off after.
Wow .. that stuff is ridiculously slick compared to the rest
Yes! It totally caught me off guard
Will it work with 18v drill 1800 Rpm? How many hours would you say to do a whole car ? Hologramms to remove after ?
Depends on what you want to do. Waxing shouldn't take long at all. Doing a two step correction (compound and polish) on a scratched up car like this one? That will take....forever! I ended up using a regular size polisher with 5" pads and that still took a fairly long time. My drill max speed is 2,000 RPM, so 1800 might be okay. No holograms when I was done.
@@BB_Detailing_00 Swirled daily driver . 1 step polishing whole car. Would it be possible to do on a day ? 8 or 10 hours ? Really valuable to know that would be and highly appreciated
Hey. With the little 3" pads (you should use many, to keep them clean and more efficient) it would take a long time. - Here's a thought: It took about 5 minutes to do what I did in this video. That small section. So how many more of those small sections would it take? If the side was about 12 sections, that's about an hour. One more hour for the other side, and maybe another hour plus the roof? So yeah, i think it can be done in under 8 hours.
@@BB_Detailing_00 Thanks a bunch Big Boss I will buy it for myself then and polish mine and others cars since I have no 900 to invest in cordless polisher of good brand and inverters , generators are also not my cup of tea. Detailing outside only :) Good weekend Big Boss !
Be sure to have batteries charging to swap out! And multiple pads to keep working clean. Good luck. :)
Amazing
Thank you! And thanks for watching / commenting
Very nice!!
Thanks!
Dammmmm that works lol
Would this put a lot of stress on my drill if I’m doing my whole car? I only own a ryobi lol
Honestly, I'm not sure. But, I'm not even sure you'd be able to do the whole car in one session. You may tire out before then. For this small polisher attachment, I suggest doing sections at a time.
What pad would you guys suggest if I’m using a one and done compound and polish? Using both the compounding pad and polishing pad defeats the purpose of the product I’ll be using (T.W 1&done pro line).
Test spot is the best way to determine what combo to use, to get the results you would be satisfied with. Me, I'd try the orange Lake Country SDO pad or a Griot's Garage Yellow BOSS pad. Go from there
I use the DA power sys for slopes and valleys on panels since it doesn’t stall, but it’s not practical for a full size car. I use it in conjunction with Meguiar’s GT 300 polisher.
You got the right idea. I do tend to use smaller machines/pads for certain areas, and larger machines/pads for the bulk of the car. Thanks for your comment, and thanks for watching
That came out nice
Thank you. Thanks for watching.
Really nice !
Thank you! And thanks for watching
I just bought this. For $100 with the polishing pad and the same polish compound it took out 90% of the scratches on me rear quarter panel on my truck. I didn't do any research. Just bought the product at Canadian Tire when I was there this morning. Now I'm going do a coat of wax with it. Thanks for the video. You put a lot more pressure than I did. I'm gonna go try using that much pressure.
Sounds like you got some pretty good results. I did put some pressure on it, due to the scratches I was dealing with. :) Thanks for watching
Amazing result ! nice job !
Thank you!
What’s funny is I’m gonna use the same da system on my 01 4runner too
Buy more pads. Take your time. :) Good luck - and thanks for watching!

WOW! I just bought one. I need to correct a few spots in my car and this tool is perfect. I'll be using the D300 though.
I prefer D300 (with their MF cut discs) over their Ultimate Compound, or M105. D300 is one of my favorites. Thanks for watching
@@BB_Detailing_00 Do you think D300 will work with the DA power system and the red pad? Also, can you attach their microfiber pads to the DA power system? Thanks!
Sorry for the delay. It went to the spam section! Not sure about red pads and D300. I've done it with 3" microfiber (MF) pads. I think, though, the MF pads are a bit larger than the plate on the DA Power System, so just be careful when approaching edges or other body panels, raised areas, etc. - If you don't have MF pads, get some! D300 was formulated for microfiber, so I'm not sure how well it does on foam. Never tried it.
Great video, BB Detailing !!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this for us !! I could definitely see a difference from the "Control" Panel and the Meguiars Hand Waxed panel.. See you around the Autopia Campus, Amigo !!! Dan F

@@BB_Detailing_00 thanks it is perfect now!
Glad to hear it!
i have porter cable. do you know what speed i use? and also it has abrasive will it take clear coat off? im guesing it will take away some scratches right
maybe speed 3-4. Variables involved include pad choice, and paint, hand pressure. But you want to make sure your pad is spinning, not just vibrating. I believe it does have some abrasives in it, and will remove a small amount of clear, as with most polishes. Some more info here: www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101-a/124170-meguiars-white-wax-questions.html
That’s awesome ... quick question though did the pad turn black coz you buffed through the clear coat into the paint layer ..?.. if yes how do to plan on protecting the paint now ?
Thank you! Great question! I did not buff through the clear coat. The 4 Runner had some body parts that were repainted. Some actually had single stage black (no clear coat) and other parts had two stage (color coat plus clear coat)! So the black is from the single stage black paint.
Nice job
Thank you. And thanks for watching
@@BB_Detailing_00 your welcome .from İstanbul turkey
Turkey! That's a first :)
After the compound I am using polish , after that can I use ipa .?
Yes. I use ipa for a clean surface prior to using wax or sealant.
But I can wax without polish right .? I wax every 3 months and polish 2 times per year . Am I right.?
You can wax without polish. Most people (average person) don't polish. I don't polish that often. Why do you polish 2x a year? Keep in mind, you only have so much paint (or clear coat) on the car. There are "paint cleaner" type polishes that don't contain abrasives, Like Poorboy's World Professional Polish, or Blackfire's Paint Cleaner. I'll see if I have a video for one of those. If not, I'll make one (in a month or so)
Oh, another option is a "cleaner wax" - It's like using a paint cleaner and wax at the same time. One of my videos shows Meg's White Wax. It cleans and protects in one step
BB Detailing thanks a lot :)
