Is there a reason you make the video segments so short and dont include an entire lesson in one clip? The video ended in the middle of the lesson and then my autoplay played a completely different video from a different channel so I had to go back to your channel page, find the next video and play it to complete the lesson. Nobody is going to jump thru those hoops when there are thousands of other channels that explain the same stuff but without all the work of having to watch a bunch of short clips in sequence. It's crazy lol

Hi, have you made any video regarding sample loop based on a time signature and number of loops to cut it in slices if you want to export the loop and use it in arranger keyboard as a loop sample?

Hi J. Allen. I just came here from finishing your phenomenal course on Udemy for Ableton Live (parts 1-3). My goal is to make high quality music that you would hear in the professional or mainstream world. Primarily my focus is on Hip/Hop rap music of today's generation and time. For example, sonically I really like artists like XXXTentacion, Trippie Redd, JuiceWRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Ken Carson, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole... etc. (And my goal is to create music I consider interesting of that same caliber). Currently, since I do not know how to create music or don't feel content in the music I make I've been finding "Free For Profit" music on TH-cam and rapping over beats and then releasing those into my social media. This has not gotten me very far, and largely because my music is trash. What I am looking for is a way for myself to be able to create high quality music "from scratch" from a DAW (personally I use Ableton live the very basic version). What I mean by this is I want to handle creating the beat, creating the song/lyrics vocally and recording it (which is the only part I currently "know" how to do), mixing it, mastering it, and then promoting my music. Do you have an "all in one" course or series where I can learn how to do this? Or any recommendations for how I could approach this process. The world of music production is so large, that I tend to get lost on route to achieving my goal simply because there is too much information. Apologies for typing this essay... Your help would be greatly appreciated.

How do you adjust the audio to match the midi? Can you change pitch of recorded audio in Ableton? Thanks!!

I really like your Music Theory classes. I am currently on part 11. But on this subject I would rather play on compters vs amps. I live in small places and the noise level is much quiter I have severeal amps sims Amplitube 5 and Tone X with the Trck max and some of the synth stuff and Line 6 Native and Bias eleite. I had a Marshall 900 with 30 pedals and I don't miss it. So much more you can do with simulated equipment. There is so much I can get carried away and not have time to play. But thanks Jason for Music Theory. I was curious when I finish the class at part 21 what level is that equivalent to in semsters?

Can I use the live.object and get_notes_extended to get the midi notes of a clip in real time?

is "clear" dependable on perspectives from your attitude on sounds? cause loud is always loud and I get the kinda distorted frequency thing but like even to choose sounds from start comes from a taste of some person and like clearing some sound could just totally ruin the good things the sound actually have, and there is like some people on some genre that really like some frequency boost that is actually works for them that could seem horrible to your taste... so is it really dependable or there is actually some standards to a clear sound?

No method of sound reproduction has ever surpassed the analog record, especially vinyl LPs. CDs and Mp3s don't even come close. Even pristine 78 records made out of shellac are better.

There is still no polyphony in several music traditions in the world. For example, in Turkey our traditional classical music is not polyphonic but it has mpre than twelve notes.

Just found your TH-cam channel. I bought your music theory for electronic music course on udemy recently. Just finished part 1 so haven’t got here yet. But it’s helping already. Thanks. I struggle with making a complete song that’s not boring. It’s very frustrating. I can make 4, 8, 16 bar loops that are interesting at times but getting it all to work as a song ends up a mess and a headache. I need to learn to walk away and give my ears a rest! Lol. Anyway thanks for all the courses and TH-cam vids! May get you ableton one next.
