Synopsis:
A writer, grappling with a creative block, invites an old friend over for a simple game of cards, hoping it might spark inspiration. As the game unfolds, the conversation shifts to the writer's unfinished screenplay and the central character-someone consumed by maladaptive daydreaming.
In her imagined worlds, the character becomes a soldier, an explorer, a famous author, or a beloved actress-so fully immersed in these vivid fantasies that reality slips further and further away. The writer confesses her frustration: she can't understand why her character dreams so intensely, what drives them to escape from the real world.
Through their dialogue, the writer and her friend unravel deeper questions about identity, purpose, and the fine line between creativity and escapism. As the night progresses, the boundary between the writer’s struggles and her character’s begins to blur, leading to unexpected revelations.
