This home placed me with my adoptive family. I haven't been there in decades, but have memories of walking through this gate and down the stairs for visits with my foster siblings. I look forward to visiting this location when I visit New York again.
This is why the unlicensed sale of marijuana should be handled as a criminal offense, not an Administrative one. 🤬
nypost.com/2024/10/29/us-news/law-allowing-nyc-to-padlock-hundreds-of-suspected-illegal-pot-shops-ruled-unconstitutional-by-judge-in-bombshell-ruling/?
Thank you for your hard work. Everyone should listen very carefully to what you are saying here. We paid the highest price for not paying attention, and we wish no one to go through the same experience.
The problem is that electing Republicans puts in power people who change the laws and appoint important people. Simple.
Ok. I listened to your video and my reply is this First I cannot understand how you can truthfully call the person in the womba Babyand then support that child being murdered in the womb before 6 months ,It's a proven fact that all parts of the human body are present in the first month and a Soul given by God is present at Conception God never said in His 10 Commandments Thou Shalt not kill unless you are a woman you can murder your child in the womb" He did say quite the opposite Abortion is murder now as for what you are saying about the RHA you are Absolutely Correct actually you speak like a pro liferand I hope you can accomplish what you want to do . I also must say that I am praying for you to realize the truth of the whole pro life issue , and as I say to any one involved in the abortion issue I amtotally willing too adopt or foster a baby from a woman considering abortion . Or be involved in a pro life way Thank you for sending
I understand how you feel. I'm trying to do what I can to save as many babies as possible. Thank you for understanding.
Where do you stand on another medical autonomy issue: medical aid in dying?
My wife and I were caregivers to all four of our parents. My dad died at home from Brain Cancer six months after his diagnosis, and the other three lived with us well into their 90s. I'm all too familiar with end-of-life care. There are all sorts of palliative and pain management options and I can't conceive of a scenario where Assisted Suicide would be the answer.
God forbid we have more housing.
DO NOT BELIEVE VITO LABELLA'S LIES. What a hypocrite. Keep your religion and your opinions about women's reproductive rights to yourself. It says everything about you that with all the many issues facing us in New York state, abortion is the one you've decided to make a videos about.
This isn't true. City of Yes doesn't eliminate single and two family zoning districts.
@@mnation2 by making ADUs in basements and garages “As of Right,” it will turn every single family home into a defacto Three Family home. Every property within 2650 feet of a subway will now be subject to up zoning that will allow multi family homes.
@@VitoJLaBellaah so ADUs are your concern? Houses with ADUs don't have 28 units like you say in your video. Also you know ADUs are allowed by state law in Los Angeles and Seattle right? You say in your video that these cities have more single family zoning in New York but they already allow ADUs
Compelling
Agreed!!! This pattern needs to be broken! Thank you for sharing your story!
My elderly Italian immigrant parents in Brooklyn had a very similar situation (and I know of plenty of other cases). Two family home. My father spent decades as a building superintendent and the rental had been fully renovated. Tenant came through an agency, but we later discovered she'd lied and used the same tactics on a previous homeowner. It took 18 months in court. We went straight to a holdover proceeding. No rent paid or collected for the entire length of case (the rent was significantly below average for market). If nothing else, there need to be different rules for (a) small homeowners (primary residence of 1/2/3 family), and (b) elderly homeowners. Those groups will overlap a lot, too. They are vulnerable to scammers/crooks/con artists, and they do not have deep pockets. Plus, consider the impact on their mental/physical health. The NYC courts/judges also need to enforce the laws on the books. A tenant may be granted extra time or a delay without meeting their burden of proof or offering a shred of evidence.
@annadepalo I’m so sorry your parents endured this. We can totally understand the stress, pain and strength it took to get through this. The laws are definitely wrong here!

Great Job Vito!
Great Job Vito!
Great video, Vito. I agree with you, the city council has done nothing but make our city less safe. The people who are impacted by this the most are minorities and the impoverished. These are the same people that these failed policies were supposed to protect.
Coward racist and piss poor supervisor!
Sad this Happened. Brooklyn Bay Center is pretty nice but shows how dangerous secluded areas are. I have an unrelated comment: They built a bike lane and it destroys the traffic there. It blocks traffic passing by since the people turning right into the store have to wait for the light. No room when 5 cars want to turn, so the road gets backed up. The bike lane is out of the way of any real local businesses too, I do not get the point why they built it in the first place. These elected officials do not realize how sill stuff like that negatively affects businesses. When people are frustrated they go shop elsewhere. I wish I can do something to change this. Also I noticed in a rain storm how the Service Parking Area off the belt parkway is always packed. I realized this is because the poor people in the Developments at the Cropsey Ave area lost a lot of spots due to that bike lane. All significant tradeoffs for an underutilized bike lane. PLEASE REMOVE IT!
So true. Brannan must go! Also, Gournades
I agree with you 100% 8th has so many illegal vendors selling food We need to protect consumers and of course stores
This building has such a history in the community , I hope legislation can be passed to save it.
Thank you Vito for supporting this cause and thank you to the elected officials as well as the community bd 10 for coming out and supporting this important event. It is terrible what is happening all over Brooklyn. Properties are being bought up, torn down and building these monstrous building in residential areas. We are in crisis mode. Dealing with traffic congestion and associated dangers, health issues. We are now living on top of each other. Too many loopholes in our laws that we need to address. We also need to find out who and where this funding is coming from to build these nine story and higher buildings. Asking for the elected officials to make this a priority.. It needs to STOP.
Well done, Vito. Rooting for you!

I hope you and Zhile Cao win in your districts! It would be a nice change to have more Republicans represented in New York City Council.
Evil white people are to blame? RACIST book promoting hatred of people because they are WHITE !
Thank you, Vito ! You're a true warrior ! God Bless and Keep you always!!!
Hello Lieutenant Labella: It’s Rolando from your old first platoon at TD-4. I was informed of your political endeavors, which I believe is a worthy responsibility and have no doubt you’re the person for the job. I want to congratulate you on being the nominee of your party for state senator and wish you the very best. I remember when you became a father for the first time and told me that you were going to be heavily involved with your child’s school and for what I can see now, you kept your word on that. Anyway, good luck with your campaign and keep pushing for a better NYC…
Rolando. Thank you for reaching out. Good to hear from you. Please PM me and let me know how you’re doing.
You are going to win, I just know it.
Every word a Truth that needs to be heard. Vote for Vito.
Great speech Vito!
You have no chance anyway might as well stay in Massachusetts😂😂😂
Everyone says that. I go to another country and I say, "Man, I hate the US. I don't want to go back." It doesn't mean I hate the US. I love my country, risked my life for my country and will still give my life for my country. It just means that you hate the fact that playtime is over and it's back to the reality of working, bills and other stressful things that you had a chance to ignore while you're away. I can't believe he's catching flack for this.
This is not getting enough attention.
1:40 Just down the road is P.S. 200, which had an excellent G&T program at least when I attended. Do not know now, but the overall rating seemed to have dropped in the recent years.
Right on!
promoting reading?? Diversity of children and families and affirm all those students, helps understand....so you are ok with the mirror showing kids as RACIST??? OK !! thanks for towing the Racist line!!! How much do you make a year?????
Thank you to everybody who showed up yesterday at LaBella MarketPlace 7907 13th Ave. Kim is there now, please go say hello and sign our petition to get on the ballot. Only registered Republicans who live in the District and who have not signed another petition. ❤
Keep up the efforts. Your rich career and experience make you an outstanding candidate. It would be interesting to have my past middle school PTO president and district CTC president, as well as the current co-recording secretary of my high school, as my district's state senator.
It’s just an act I know the truth the NYPost knows the truth..I really hope the people sees through your horrible act and they see who you really are.
